That's true they are cheaper, but you don't usually get them with 163ppi on a nice pocket sized screen like the iPhone/iPod touch has. Additionally, there is no where near the support for apps that the iPhone and iPod touch has. For some people the extra price is worth it. Btw I don't own an iPod touch anywhere, using an iPhone.

For me it is, but some people feel like they need to carry around every single video they have..I can fit about 12 feature films on my 8gb iPhone (I returned the 8gb iPod touch seen in the video) And as for audio, I think it's fine if proper compression is used. You need to remember that it's a mobile device...not an external hard drive for everything you've ever owned.

The ipod touch is basically an ipod with touch function. you can watch videos and you have some internet acces (wireless) but the current downside is that it has only 8/16 gig. so say goodbye to lots of movies.

Unfortunately, the white lady ipod touch has to download the firmware to get in a SIMILAR video quality, but not the same.
