  • Great video.

  • Excellent Video. But why does a nurse have all these lenses?

  • are you a medic? lol

  • that;s like 50K worth of glass right there.

  • I just want to be you!

  • LOL looks like prisoner shirt...

  • Useless video just listing a bunch of lenses but not showing any pictures taken with the lenses also picture quality was not mentioned.

  • I bet you can see the PIMPLE....has a pimple...LOLzzz

  • Thanks for the video. I learnd something new just now. And I know what there names are. :-)

  • Excellent video

  • if i take pictures of wild life like deer, howls, birds, coopers hawks and other wild life what lens/lenses would u recommend ?

  • where is my 200mm f/2.0 ?

  • Let me know when the 500 goes on sale for $99.99

  • Game of bowling?

  • hey hey Memphis Tigers =)

  • whats the point of the hood? i have one but rarely use it

  • are you a scientist or something....i don't get why have this long lenses when something like the 300mm is good enough for anything even to see the moon. see the caverns on the moon to!

  • your such a pussy when it comes to lense weight, OPH ITS REALLY HEAVY IT LEANS FORWARD! youve got muscles, use them. try standing in the winter all day shooting motorsport photography witha big lens. then you can moan

  • @LHB2311 sometimes its about getting quality, sharp shots. not manliness.

  • @valpo im just pointing out that the weight isnt that bad as he makes them out to be. and i agree. but you have misunderstood

  • it looks like apollo 11 :))

  • Where's the 200 ƒ/2?!

  • Comment removed

  • IT's horrible the sound of this video.

  • let me catch you out on the street with all those i guarantee you wont have any of them fancy lenses to show off

  • @Butkusnick11 lmao!!

  • Hi ain't no doctor. He's a Guantanamo prisoner.

  • I like u :)

  • Stalker 101.

  • Might as well just stick a telescope on the end of my camera and shoot with that :p

  • WHY ARE YOU WEARING SCRUBS?

  • @TheDirekChew hahaha You got me

  • In Google: Object.Incomer.Photo.

  • Edinwildlifetog can apparently hand hold a Nikon 500 f4 plus body, (approximate combined weight around 5kilo / 11Lb) at 60th second, with converter and produce tack sharp pictures on an overcast day!

I wont argue as obviously he has arms like Popeye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @chas4551 No one mentioned a teleconverter! Check my flickr page out if you have your doubts...

  • @chas4551 And VR is on of course!

  • Why compare them? For what they cost they should ALL perform superby - but they don't! The 400mm 2.8 is crap with Nikon 1.4 extender on. 500 f4 is not sharp compared with 400 2.8, 600 f4 costs you thousands more for only 100mm in length with the same aperture as the 500 and only produces quality in good light! Like everything since the digital invasion - over rated and over priced and that includes Canon!

  • @chas4551 Perhaps its you that cannot use one properly? The 400 2.8 takes a 1.4 perfectly, the 500 f4 is tack sharp even wide open and works superbly with a 1.4tc,the 600 f4 is just as good just heavy and expensive as are all of these lenses but they are built well and optically sublime.

  • @Edinwildlifetog I hold distinctions with BIPP, MPA and RPS plus 14 professional awards, so I think I can use a lens! The 500 IS NOT tack sharp and much has been written about it. Perhaps you confuse contrast with sharpness? The difference between 500 and 600 for the same aperture is around £1050. Would you pay so much for 100mm of lens? If so, more fool you! And sublime? Learn the meaning of the word as now you sound no more than a Nikon nurd!

  • @chas4551 The 500 is tack sharp and to me its a sublime lens. It would be nice to see some of your work if that is the case? I use the 500 daily and whenever a frame is soft its not the lens but my handholding it at silly shutter speeds. I agree the prices are not great but the glass is a very high standard.

  • @Edinwildlifetog Most people with 2.8 and f4 lenses normally use them on f8! Then announce how wonderfully sharp they are. They should try them on an overcast day wide open! The Nikon lenses are no more "sublime" than another other. So now we are back to my first comment - for what they cost they should perform superbly under ALL conditions and they DON'T and I think if you already 90% agree with me.

  • @chas4551 Not at all...i use the 500 wide open on overcast days and its still very very sharp,of course its sharper stopped down but at f4 its very good. I bought the lens because of how well it performs wide open and the fact i can handhold it and still get sharp shots at 1/60th with the VR. It does everything i want and more.I am happy with it:O) Your opinions are just that...yours!

  • @Edinwildlifetog and you opinions are exactly the same - yours!

  • @chas4551 Yep. Bye

  • HOLY FUCK!

  • Very largeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • good

  • i want that 400 f2.8vr,can you send me?

  • he's not look like a photographer ... more to surgical doctor ... heeheheh

  • man i want to steal those lense....

  • That isn't lens. Looks more a bazooka. lol

  • You have a Texan accent.

  • Chuck Norris can handles a 400 f/2.8 and hip firing all day long :D

  • why this dress??

  • go back to your day job you pussy ass nurs

  • @photolitherland to bad that you have to return 50% of your tamron lenses after purchase because of back-focusing, AF- Sync issues and heavy vignetting. Niccor is better, thats why they are more expensive. But they wont make you a better photographer,

  • Lens envy, I think you could possibly kill someone with those lenses!

  • They look like giant thermoses xD

  • I'll take the smallest one with a payment plan, thanks.

  • how much dose a supertelephoto lens closes by the subject ,i mean how close you are in digital agaist the real position

  • Is he a prisoner?? as can be seen with his clothes :):)

  • Constantly talking about size of lenses - you trying to compensate for something, and don't bother lying.

  • @MadmanDKDK yeah put a lens converter on a 18-300 4.5-5.6 and get Double the aperture!

  • @devonly2 Double the aprture or zoom?

  • @krasav4ik82 both.

  • Do you think that something like a 600 f4, 500 f4 or 400 f2.8 would balance nicely on a D3100? :)

  • @Ishcoa :DD Balancing would be difficult with that body :DD

  • @FinlandApollo

I can just imagine, you'd have to be pretty crazy to use that combo!

  • @Ishcoa crazy isn't good word for it....Insane would do! :D

  • I am guessing you are not a big fan of Canon ELPH 300 HS

  • You need a friggen window installer just to change a filter.

  • thats what she said

  • When you work with dozens of copies of them all day long, you become very aware that those things are built like tanks. Other lenses break, not supertelephotos.

  • you seem quite harsh with you photography equipment. too much snapping noise while you mount/unmount lenses or put them back on the table. bang here, bang there.....

  • looks like a Bazooka.. :P

  • HOOLLYYYY CRUSTY CRAAAABB..!! THESE ARE F**KIN' EXPENSIVE..!!!

  • OMG full option !!!

  • THESE ARE EXPENSIVE !

  • he got bigger o.o

  • fuck you

  • I got the 400 2.8 and it is a heavy heavy lens BUT with light level in the uk that 2.8 is handy as long as you consider the DOF when wide open.

  • Comment removed

  • what is with those clothes? some sort of kung fu / judo / martial art suit?

  • you look like a doctor... :)

  • @disruptfam doctor lenses...

  • does it affect the aperture using a DX body?

  • You cannot shoot with these in Afghanistan. You will be shot right away. Looks like an RPGs :-))

  • A 400mm 2.8? That's a HUGE lens. I'm drooling!

  • Is there any place where you can pay for a nikon camera monthly?

  • You might be a camera pro but, sound is bouncing around in your room and echoing. You need to absorb that. Also you need more frontal illumination to improve the image. Your background is white. ? Also get the 600 man!

  • A mini telescope in home is always nice, but it costs certainly some bucks.

Wow what a big lens, I can pay hide and seek inside it.

  • A mini telescope in home is always nice, but it costs certainly some bucks.

  • have fun cleaning those lenses for 3 hours!!

  • What does the hood on the lens do?

  • @xanibars Keeps out stray light that might lower contrast or appear as lens flair. Also protects the front lens element from objects that might scratch or dirty it. Also adds to the awsome look. Lots of videos about it.

  • I have the sigma 50 -500 and when I have it zoomed out to 500 on my tripod

then click the shutter using my cable release the front of the lens vibrates slightly

because the front of the lens is so heavy and I get blurry images , I'm disappointed

in this lens, the plastic collar doesn't hold tight enough it's to flexible

  • I need bigger calculator with extra digit as well

  • Are you a doctor?

  • @disruptfam he;s a surgeon

  • does a lens hood prevent light from coming in? so if you are in a low light situation is it a good thing to take the hood off? because it makes sense that the hood isnt letting all the light in

  • @ithree6mafia that's one of the silliest things ive ever heard...

it stops stray light from hitting the glass which causes flare and ghosting. it however, does not block any light that hits the sensor...

  • 2:47.. ouch...

  • what are the huge lenses for.. i know its a stupid question..lol.. is like for zooming in 100 yards or what,,

  • @THE37BUS yep, it's mostly for wildlife or sport photography (with zoom range of 200mm++). While the big size is determined by the size of glasses and other lens designation.

  • The D3000 can use all of the supertelephoto primes.

  • hi i would like to know d3000 can use telephoto lenses?.im using a d3000.i really need your help.thanks

  • @strongmanpremanand yes it can.

  • Like a military showing his firearms -_-"

  • Bazookas :O

  • I want that 400 2.8

  • He forgot the 200mm f2 and the 400 f4. also while not AF Nikon made a 1200-1700mm that works fine on the modern cameras

  • He forgot the 200mm f2

  • You're a fucking loser

  • Go brush you're teeth

  • inferiority complex?

  • The biggest problem for me is the money needed to buy all these big guns :)

  • pretty nice

  • If you ever want to donate a lense that you don't want, I'll be more than glad to take it.

Just starting and love taking pictures. I only have two lenses. contact info 9515259039.

  • hey what model is the camera???????

I'm thinking about buying a nikon p100 but Im a novice in this....so let me know if I can use lenses like these.....

    would be very helpful

  • @dark1457 a P100 is nt an interchangeble lens camera so it cant use lenses like these. If want an interchangeble lens camera or an SLR, I recommend u start out wif a D3000, D5000 or d newer D3100. The camera used in this video is a D700 which is a full-frame(35mm format sensor). Hope tis helps

  • the audio is too muddy

    or is just your voice

  • Nice lenses, but I don't need to look at Pluto.

  • u should bless with one of those lenses

  • fantastic insight into the lenses..........enjoyed the canon video also.......great job!

  • I have a sigma 18-250 f/3.6-5 and its not very big, but the optical stableiser (OS) chews threw battery like theres no tomorrow. I have to turn it off or my battery dies very very fast.

  • He is so strong

  • Great video! Yes, it's better on video than photo to get an idea of how big different lens are.

  • oh yes that is huge!

  • -Waiting for him to pull out hubble telescope-

  • @omfgsomental i was waiting for him to pull that out to cause every thing just got bigger and bigger lol

  • @omfgsomental hahahhahaahah!

  • @omfgsomental ofcuz he's a doctor of lenses

  • Why is he wearing an coroner's outfit?

  • And I thought the Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 i'm buying was a impressive lens...

  • great video thx alot

  • why scrubs

  • you know what they say about guys with big lenses.............

  • This has been a good video, thank you. I have just sold my 400 f/2.8 AF-S11 after 3 years of use, great lens but just a bit too heavy. Bought the 500 f/4 vr and love it.

I have a chuckle when people say the 70-200 vr is a large lens.

  • Yea i stick with my small lens

  • Those are great lenses!!! Nikon should make them more affordable.. I think also an insurance plan should also go with them.. Lol

If somone were to drop one of those they would probably commit suicide afterwards concidering the fact that those lenses go way off the 2000 dollar line.. Lol

  • Mr KFC he's a Surgeon

  • Great hands-on demo - thanks for sharing!

  • 80-400 nikon vr lens is the worst ever been made lense in the world

  • so you did not see the results on flickr??? go and see them

  • I want them all send me one of each ha ha.

  • a great review

    thanks a lot

i was waiting you to show us the 600mm

    :)

  • Wow some of those lenses are huge..I thought my 70-200vr was big

  • this vide sucks big time, only the last minute it pull far enough to see the lens, which is supposed to be the main subjects~

  • is the auto focus on this lens good enough for school sports?

i want to take picture at my kids events.

  • This reminds me of those guys who drive lifted trucks and comparing each others trucks to see who's truck is bigger....

  • I'm not this type of shooter but many photographers need this type of equipment to do the work they do.

  • connaissez vous les théories du Dc Freud sur la longueur Mister Nikon ?

  • He looks like a nurse!

  • Trivial information.

Optical performance is relevant if ur looking for a lens, not how it looks or how heavy it is.

  • thank you for a really informative demo really enjoyed that

  • Whats a camera? xD fail

  • men and there lens size ;)

  • lmao! why would you want a lens hood??? duh!

  • are you a lens doctor , wtf r u wearing lol ?

  • i love the last sentence. :))

  • did they forget the 70-200?

  • why would you need a hood?

  • To prevent lens flare if you're shooting in sunlight.

  • @DIZZYBANG it also helps to protect the front element if you bang it, drop it, etc.

  • @DIZZYBANG Most "amateur thinking" photographers wouldn't care less if they don't have a lens hood, to a pro without a lens hood, well that would be like going out without your trousers on.

A lens hood prevents light entering the lens from every where other than the direction of the thing you are taking the shot of so you get a more colourful image, more saturated colours.

Without a hood the light "scatter" on the front glass bleaches out the colours and makes it look like bad contrast.

  • @DIZZYBANG Looks way more Bad Ass

  • @DIZZYBANG It makes your lens look faster and more expensive.
