  • EU AMEI ISSO !

    Lindo trabalho, parabéns.

    Como você confeccionou esse livro?

    Parabéns! Belíssima arte.

  • @Xykletinha Obrigado! Fazendo o livro é muito longo de um processo para explicar aqui.

  • where did you get the music from?

  • @BeckEhster In the info for the video is a detailed description of the music.

  • @TraciBunkers funny that's what i thought, there is a video on youtube which does the same thing.

  • beautiful colors<3

  • I have no idea what that background noise is but it doesn't sound even remotely close to music. Sorry but I had to turn it off!

  • thankyou u'v actually helped me with my summer art project xx

  • Im generally a very positive person, but this bkground sound is extremely annoying....the sounds are from sped up filming....not only the visual but the audio as well is sped up!! Extremely annoying but the visual was good. :)

  • @robianstey I'm sorry you found the background music annoying. The audio is not sped up. If you read the info I have with the video, you'll see where the background audio originated from, and that's exactly how the various tracks sound. I found them fascinating, which is why I used them. You can always turn off the audio if you find it distracting.

  • cool technique but man, what creepy music!! to each their own i guess!

  • Beautiful

  • I think I can do this Art (?) when get very old, idiot, and mad.... hehehehehe what thing...

    G

  • Wow, that was incredible. I definitely want to give this a go in the near future.

  • i really like it, i can relate to the visual, but the "music" noise is just a disturbing distration.

  • i love the artwork

  • very nice....but the 'MUSIC'' Groetjes uit Holland

  • I am so amazed by your work! I love how it all came together so perfectly. It amazes me that you did it all in one sitting. do you always work that way? And if so, I'm assuming that you're using a heating tool after laying down some paint? I saw that you were using puncillia with a red sharpie (?) near the end. I LOVE how that came out! Can you tell me a little more about that process? One last thing- I noticed others having a hard time w/ blind melon. a . at end of link is cause for error

  • @SaraEnDippity Thanks! I generally always do a journal page in one sitting, but it just depends. Right now I am doing "30 Days of Journaling" where I work in my journal every day for 30 days and post it to my blog. With this project, since I'm doing it every day, I don't always do the whole page in one sitting. You can see it all on my blog.

  • @SaraEnDippity I have to do this in 2 messages! As you can see in the video, I always dry everything with a hair dryer so I can keep working. As for the punchinella & sharpie, I'm just tracing the inside of the circles. I think the error on the link was because my website said I was out of the stamp, but I "restocked" it.

  • how in the world can we know what the process is with that very strange sound. turning off the sound doesn't help since you don't have any text telling us what technique you are doing. very hard to understand. plus the fast motion doesn't give enough time to try to figure out what you're doing. why can't you just talk while doing the demonstration

  • @oceanpoet1 As I say in the info for the video, "This video is a peek into how I work in my visual journal." It isn't meant to be a workshop or a how-to video. If you'd like instruction, I teach workshops on visual journaling, and that my schedule is on my web site. I also have a book that's just out called "The Art Journal Workshop." Perhaps you'll find it helpful.

  • @oceanpoet1 If you want more of a complete how to instruction on her techniques, instead of taking her workshop as she suggests, might I suggest a different route.....On May 1st 2011 of this year, Traci is coming out with a book on her techniques called: Art journal workshop...I just went to Barnes and Noble to place a hold on one, it should tell how to do her techniques at a much lower cost than her workshop!;) Thanks Traci!:)

  • I like the music and the pages!!!!!!!!!!! Good work and so turn just mute it and watch if you don't like the music

  • @TheBryboy21 Thanks!

  • I really like your work.

I actually like your music too.

It matches the speed of your video.

    Good job.

  • @ravenolivia024 Thanks! I thought the music and the sped-up video went together well too. Glad you liked it.

  • I love that kind of music :)

  • So brilliant, I love it and the music. Thank you :)

  • What was that ...souned creepy..Can't watch

  • @scrapperkaren60 You can always turn the sound off!

  • the music isnt creepier than tas - 100's ive been delayed lol look it up you would be suprised how old that man is... :P

  • This was very helpful -- can't wait to check out your web site! By the way, the soundtrack "music" is fantastic. Wish I had that recording for my myself. Unique and layered just like your artwork.

  • great journal techniques.. this wasn't music.. it was a very kewl transmission :)

Thank you for sharing! It felt otherwordly!

  • I enjoyed the way you made your pages. Wish you wouldve typed in what you were doing for each step, that wouldve helped. You used a lot of different materials. Very cool. I love it!

  • Might have been good but that music was horrid...had to move onward~

  • @Rainbowmoonraven Sorry you didn't like the music. You could turn the sound off and watch it again.

  • Would love to see you do more pages. And love the music.

  • @sweetspyder Thanks!

  • I found all the info about the products used after I wrote the comment ; all the notes you had written are very helpful. I absolutely love your technique and the page, but it went fast for a beginner like me. I would love to see more of your process, now that you have 15 minutes for a vid. Someone like you with a lot of experience has a lot to share, even though it may seem basic to you. I actually don't hate the music, I just found it so interesting I couldn't pay attention to your art ! LOL

  • love the page but the sound is so bizarre it distracted me from what you were doing. I wanted to turn it off, but i was afraid you might begin narrating. I would love some narration or text added to describe the products used . Had to watch again with sound off. I understand why you might think the sound you added is effective, but it is distracting.

  • @cynnthea Sorry you didn't like it. If you read the info with the video, it talks about the materials that I used.

  • i love the page but the music is sooooo creepy

  • waw thats amazing! x

  • this is awesome! I love the presentation that speeds up the action with all the information!

  • I came across this video in a search for "visual journal workshop" and really enjoyed watching your process.

But I must say I was most impressed with your choice of the Conet Project for the soundtrack...I have this in my collection and recognized it right away.

Are you also a recording artist? You've added some really interesting layers to the sound. And what made you choose the Conet Project? Just curious...

    Best,

    ~Karen

  • @moonswirl Thanks! I'm so glad you liked the music. It seems people either really love it or hate it. Nope I'm not a recording artist. All of the music was made by layering different recordings from the Conet Project. I chose it because I thought it was very fascinating, and when I wrote to the owner of the project, he gave me permission to use it (and he was happy with how it all turned out).

  • HI! I love the process and everything. I recently started art journaling and couldn't find a journal I liked. I finally went with a moleskin journal. I wanted a bigger one because when I paint I use bigger canvas and sometimes it's hard to go smaller. I LOVE your journal. I got on your site and I saw the journals you have on there but they aren't like the one you use. Do you make and sell ones like what you are using in your video? If so how much do you sell them for?

  • @lotusflower18 The journal that I use is handmade by me. Sometimes I sell similar ones on my web site from $75-$100. I also sell other journals that are spiral bound that are less expensive.

  • Wow! Awesome!

  • This is really inspiring- to push aside the computer and put down the digital camera and pick up a sketchbook again. Thank you!

  • Cool page- but really creepy music

  • LOL..this was a little dizzying to watch.

  • please could you let me know if you are going to make blind melon alphabet available again because i cannot find it anywhere on your site or any where else. thanks

  • @alemanyorks32 I have tried over and over again to reply, but youtube won't let me put a link in my comment. I tried putting it in the video info, and it won't let me do that either. Maybe when you tried looking for it on my site I was out. Try again--the link to my site is in the info, click on shop, then the seacrh is in the upper left. Type in Blind Melon or whichever one you want, and it will show up. If you still have problems, e-mail me from my web site and I can e-mail you the link.

  • I just found your video and enjoyed watching. The finished pages look great! Love the colors you chose. Can you tell me what type of fountain pen you used? I have a terrible time finding one that will write over painted journal pages. Hope to see more of your videos!

  • @NolaGB : I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you read the info to the upper right of the video, it talks about how I can write over paint.

  • I love it!!, thanks for sharing... = 0 )

  • Can you make a video on how you did the cover?

  • Most of the time, I forget to "journal" in my art journal. I love the visual effect you have with the background, collage and writing!

  • Wow--superb pages! Although I have to admit, the music was BEYOND creepy. I think I might have nightmares tonight... :S

  • Love the stamp you used with the lines. Need to look for one of them. ;)

  • @EvelineUK: if you click on the "more info" to the right of the video, I mention the rubber stamps. That one is from my "journaling" rubber stamp sheet that I sell from my web site.

  • Just mesmerizing..the freaky soundtrack helps! I am intrigued and am so going to visit that link. (I know it sounds looney, but I swear that's what my head sounds like when I am trying to sleep..)

Your art is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your processes!

  • HI Really love this vid! What is the speaking in the background from?

  • Thanks! if you click on the "more info" to the right of the video, it has all of the information about the video, including what I used to make the soundtrack.

  • great video! it's amazing to watch you work!

could you please tell me what you're doing with the wax paper and hand roller thing? it appears that you are rubbing something hard so that it stays glued, but with the wax paper i'm confused. thanks!!

    <3

  • Thanks! The wax paper is just protecting my brayer (the hand roller) from getting glue on it. I use the brayer when I collage glue down, to make sure it is attached really well. The wax paper keeps excess glue off the brayer--if I didn't use it, I could end up rolling glue onto the surface of what I just collaged down.

  • Cool!! I love the alpha stamps you used, which ones are they from your website?

  • Thanks LilyMyLovely--if you click on the "more info" to the right of the video, it has just about everything you would ever want to know, including links to the rubber stamps. Right at the moment, I'm out of the one I used for the headline, but should have it any day!

  • awesome video - subscribed as soon as i saw it was you! love your work, and that music is too cool!

  • loving the process and the colors!!! You have a new subscriber!

  • thanks for the video! I'd love to see more like this:)

  • Thanks, Tracy! Very enjoyable.

    Stacy

  • Love to see the creative process. :) Great video.

  • Amazing, super groovy video. Love it. Thanks!

  • It was so fun to watch the process all sped up!
