beautiful costumes, beautiful jewelery, beautiful words, and beautiful work done by every celebrity..................its really beautiful and emotional too.
mughal rule was largely secular, dacing was tolerated during mughal rule as well drinking, jahangir was heavy drinker and died of liver failure due to excesive drinking..
i did a project about the mughal empire 2yrs earlier..i have done research from many prospectives and read statements of many historians,(indian, bangladeshi, pakistani, british, persian, german, chinese, ottomon etc,..many diffrent sources)
ur right, thats why first point for a history student is to study from several sources not from 1 single source..because all the sources r more or less biased..
so whn ever i make a comment i make sure that i knw about it..cheers
yeah, you're a history and political science major, but you weren't there were you? What does that prove, you can be a history major or a zoologist and still not know exactly what dinosaurs looked like. Unless you're there, you don't know
there r many things that happened or happens around us that we do not see.. but still we have to reach a decision in order to lead our lives,we make those decision from analysing valid facts..the world is huge and history is very long and complicated, but still we have to reach a decision.
for exm: a hidu has never seen there god but believes it.i am a muslim, i have never seen muhammed(pbuh) nor heard his teachings.but i believe in this faith because it has best and most valid facts.
How does making assumptions about whether they danced and drank help you "reach a decision in order to lead our lives" ( & you shouldn't be reaching decisions on things you don't see, that's how 1 million were killed in Iraq, assumptions of WMD)seems pretty irrelevant for your daily life. So it's not of any use. As for religion you believe those ideals/beliefs,you don't worship whether Holy Prophet wore cotton or linen, stuff like that can't be speculated on, why you this his pic isn't allowed?
brov,1st of all the things u said i didnt understand half of it,..specially wht the prophet wore.. i have said what i know about mughal empire, cant say m 100 percent right but i do know enough for a debate.. and anyway it doesnt matter what u believe its ur own.. if u dnt want to believe me i cant change ur mind.but u cant change my mind as well because i learn the facts so i know enough about it. and i completely disagree with ur point that we shouldnt assume,, we have to assume bcoz we havent
yes i agree with u, but the most important reason was that he hardly had any military or administrative experience..shahjahan loved him a lot and always kept him away from battles and was appointed subadar(governor) of most peacefull provinces, while aurangazeb took part in military campaigns such as in golconda, bijapur and kandahar campaign..
so he proved better in the contest for the mughal throne
"ishq ki dastan" reminds me of the scene in Mughal-e-Azam "teri mehfil main ajj..." same idea, competition between the two girls for the guy's attention done through a qawaali type song
