The original Ka-7 had many different “Applications” under development. Some of the perhaps-not-so-far-fetched ideas were as a bomber, troop transport, civilian passenger plane, and even air transporting heavy artillery and tanks. No kidding on the last one; apparently, the idea was to string up stuff between the main gears and fly like that. None of these ideas ever "took off,” as on its 3nd flight, the behemoth crashed after suffering structural failure, killing most of the crew.
One stupid question, if they would fire those big ass guns while flying, wouldnt the recoil slow down the plane so much that it would crash?! But. in fact, russians are again the master of building huge ass monster who fly. Remember Mil-Mi 26 and AN225?!
27.03.48 К7 have destroyed small town in the center of the USA with factory on manufacturing of a nuclear bomb. 5000 persons were lost. US authorities засекретели bombardment On a city place have made a confidential zone of witnesses liquidated. The authorities were frightened that the USSR can strike unpunished blow in any point of the USA. К7 it was impossible to bring down. The USA were frightened to begin war with the USSR. This operation is kept a secret in the USA and Russia
It was the thought up legend what to hide the further workings out.
Since August, 5th 1941 coded К7 and with DB3 bombed Berlin. That has caused shock in Hitler. To 1945 15 planes have passed deep modernization and continued to stand in a reserve of confidential planes.
@mssuperhuntergaga I am Sick of all these Chuck Norris jokes if hes so f00kin strong i dear him to com to my house ans smash my face in the keyborhhjghmjm
people think that the K-7 was big, but it was a bit smaller than a boeing 747.It looks big because of all of the propellers and guns. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Those computer-generated, colour images are a little silly: why the author (the graphics designer) placed two women in there? They're walking from the truck toward the plane. Two women entering Kalinin in 1930s/1940s? It's a Hollywood-style nonsense.
@MrWelshalex The video presented us with two planes so what was the other one? You're correct it was smaller and rumor had it that when all the forward guns were in use it slowed the plane down. The big guns couldn't be used for sustained fireing was another rumor...
@MrWelshalex correct, but for the time, it was huge. I mean..it has friggin battleship guns...who cares how big it was, that in itself is friggin awesome!
@mssuperhuntergaga OH CHUCK NORRIS THIS...CHUCK NORRIS THAT....GO FUCK CHUCK NORRIS AND BE A LITTLE MORE ORIGINAL IN FUTURE YOU BUMBANDIT....SHEESH...

there wer 3 prototypes as i read: 1 crashed at its first flight. the second did fly, but then it crashed wit ha few higher generals and stuff on it, and the third one was wrecked
real k-7 was build 1930s for experiment use, and it failed.. after first fail they tried to build a new one, but the project was cancelled in 1935 before they could be completed..

@cs4t001 "K7 was impossible to bring down"
Seemed to be brought down just fine on it's own
"The aircraft completed seven test flights before a crash due to structural failure of one of the tail booms on 21 November 1933"
"The accident killed 14 people aboard and one on the ground"

get your facts right.
