actualy the sony subs you buy at walmart are different models than you will find at any serious car audio shop/ website. The ones they make for walmart are designed and made to be cheap and lack the quality sony puts into its other higher line subs.

That is kinda true and false. Sony already had those subs made. Wal*mart bought them because they are made inexpensivly and can be sold inexpensivly but still make a profit. All shops, whether they have high quality equipment or low quality equipment, will sell the same woofers. The only difference is they will offer better grade woofers as well. Wal*mart sells for less. There is high end places at high prices, and there are places that aren't. That doesn't mean they sell no-quality products.

Well these are old models. Wal*marts here in Vegas don't sel these anymore unless they were overstock and are now on clearance. Now they sell the black plastic ones. Higher end shops stock the fiber woven models. But right on with the Kickers. What kind of Kickers you got? I got four MTX's in my pickup stompin in my area. I used to have four 10" Sonys in my old pickup, it had two of these P5 models, and a couple of 10" XS-L1065's. It was a nice system.

5he ones they sell here in alabama walmarts are the black ones too, but i got 2 kicker comp 12's on a profile ap700 monoblock amp. I got the subs buy one get one for a hundred dollors when circut city went out of busyness, and the amp was only a hunded dollors, and i built a custom ported box in my shop class for FREE! Its the loudest entrylevel system in town and no one belives its only 700 watts till i lift the seat up and show them the amp. i have a video of them check it out and comment.

Okay, seems like you're catching some shit for having Xplods. I'm going to give you some advice since I've used those subs before. You're going to get more volume out of a single 12 Type R for about the same price. Sony isn't horrible, but I wouldn't spend my money on it. Just save up a little and get some Alpine's or another brand. I'm not hating on your system of anything. I just don't want you ending up spending more than you have to. I've been in the same position before.
