So i just bought a MA Audio Subwoofers. There are two subs in box. On the box it said that its 1000 watts. They are 12" each. Also already in box.

So my question is that how much watts of amp should i buy for those subs?

I dont know how much rms are those subs. But on the box, it just said 1000 watts total..

So im really confused on buying the amp..

@kafoure93 i might be able to answer some of your questions. As far as getting something more commonly known: no. Some of the top contenders in spl comps are not so well know brands such as RE, MA, TREO and so on. These are the hard kore model handling around 1500 rms. I had a 15 inch m.a hard kore and i hit a 146.6 in my trunk running off of a hifonics brutus 2000D. And as afr as amps go i would recommend something along the lines of a audiopipe 3000D for two of them depending on your budget

I have owned both of the amps and the brutus puts out a little cleaner bass but the audiopipe can put out almost 1000 rms more and deff will give you high DB numbers, both are very good amps but for two MA's i would go with the audiopipe as long as you can feed it enough power. As in two batterys or a good kinetiks because its very power hungry

i have this same sub; powered by an MA SY7011DX 1800W mono amp, keep the gain turned down; too much distortion will make any sub sound awful... i prefer quality over loudness - and this sub can do both really well... i used to have 2 with the same amp in a del sol that hit 143dB, but i sold one of them. got the other in a mini cooper right now =D

What a noisey load of crap. I can tell anyone who thinks these are good, haven't got a clue about sound. Bass isn't what actually makes sound good. It's frequency change. The frequencys are not aligned correctly. The reason why things sounds mildly better when you turn up the bass is due to the seperation of the frequencys which gives a noticeable change in response but a proper normal system even without a sub has more exciting sound than you ever dreamed possible. everything is out of balance.

The MA AUDIO HK's are good but they don't last..The first HK 12" I bought might have lasted a month and a half,the second one just went out on me 2 days ago, it only lasted 3 weeks...Don't get me wrong they do bang hard but the "Double Layer Progressive Spider" breaks completely around the voice coil and burns up...My next SUBWOOFER will be the ((ORION HCCA 12.2))...look at the videos....IT IS KILLING SOLO X,T-1, STROKERS,and JL W7..check out the videos where they test the 2 together..
