Corrections are entirely unnecessary in dog training, if you know what you're doing. Don't take my word for it - PLEASE *everyone* go to the website for the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and see what the VETERINARY BEHAVIORISTS think - read their position statements on the use of punishment and dominance in training. (Tried to post a link to their website, but didn't go through...sorry) Let's stop the abuse!!

@PacificaPet Wrong. Please read leerburg.com on dog dominance issues. It is very risky and dangerous, not only to own a dog, but to have one that is trained improperly. I know this is not politically correct, but the truth of the matter is that an untrained dog and out of control dog can hurt and possibly kill a human.

Please go to leerburg.com and read the 100's of emails from owners horror stories of dogs that were untrained.

This is very important.
