I like the show, but I hate how the UK uses "stone" as a unit of measurement. I don't like having to multiply by 14 to understand what they're saying, so I usually ignore the numbers and don't know how much they weigh.
@1009541074brb That would only complicate things for me because I would have to multiply that number by approximately 2 (with whatever the decimal amount is if I want to be accurate) to get to pounds. Either that or I would have to become fluent in metric measurements.
Probably the best thing for me to do would be multiply by 15 (easier, a multiple of 5). The estimate would be a little high, so maybe I would subtract 10 or 15, or subtract the number of stones, or just x15 and leave it high.
@1009541074brb Your profile says you're from New Zealand. You might use the metric system over there, but in the US, the only people who use the metric system are chemists & physicists. If I saw a weight in kilos, I wouldn't understand how much it was until converting to pounds. I don't even know my own weight (actually mass) in kilos. I can figure stones to pounds if I put in a little effort, but to do kilos first would mean looking up the conversion & adding an unnecessary step.
OMG Gillian McKeith from You are What You Eat is credited as a presenter for this show?? The one who measures people's poo from the toilets and looks at everyone's tongues! 8:40
@Alternator08 Well as a bi female with a perfect "gaydar" I can positively say he is gay. He doesn't really hide it or anything. I have a few male friends the same, drama queens and all. I get used to it so I am more bothered by the annoying chick on this episode.
Awww, Julie seems like such a nice person. :')

@qwexas six or seven kilos per stone, since its a smaller number, and i can do it in my head.

Julie is pretty in the face but needs less dark makeup--should always choose 1 shade lighter than your face for foundation/base makeup.
