Yessss I remember it from my childhood (wow , nice childhood i know , killin' stroggs :D ). I love PSX games for the soundtracks and thing that 99% PC games lacs - music on the first 'stage'. In most games the music play somewhere in the background , not givin' 100% of satisfacion :( Quake II , Ace Combat II , Medal of Honor , Syphon Filter - in this games the soundtrack is epic and gives you the boost to play and fight with your enemies. the problem is that they probably got it on steam. You can reenable the music if you use the right source port like kmquake and install the custom patches. There are also people who are trying to enable the music on the steam versions right now.

No. First, you got an extra CD with the soundtrack which you needed to insert when playing, the Quake II Soundtrack was on it.

Second, you could insert ANY audio CD and Quake would play the tracks on it.

Plus, the PC version of Q2 was FAR superior, better graphics, better sound, longer game.
