  • Congrats, pilot!

  • zfox69 I think that solo maybe simply their first time without an instructor with them. Not the solo flight required for the license which requires a flight of no less than 100nm. At least thats what I was told by the flight schools here.

  • good pilot, congrats on your first solo! I'm a pilot too, how old were you in this vid?

  • @iFlyAirplanes96 loook UP! ^ lol

  • @ted850760 Recreational.......rec=recreational

  • more flare mate! isnt your initial solo supposed to be 1 circuit and landing not a touch and go?

  • @zfox69 my first solo was 3 around in the pattern, with touch and goes.

  • in the time 6:03 the girl says fuck?

  • am I watching Cloverfield?!?

  • 182 ?, not a 172 Same animal!

  • 182 ?

  • Amazing sorry didn't see the vid at 2009, OH WELL. but good luck in your future

  • can you get inflight urination systems for long flights in these cramped aircraft. ur gonna have to go

  • @210482fmj if you can't hold it for five hours you need to see a doctor

  • Comment removed

  • @64wing you sir are wrong. you never hold if for that length. any medical expert would immediatly point out you are wrong

  • @64wing the point is with in flight urination system you dont have to hold it which is unhealthy and is not being a good pilot. a good pilot always takes care of his health first

  • @210482fmj I understand that some pilots may not be able to focus as well as they should if their minds were to be preoccupied with physical discomfort. My point was that you really can't stay aloft long enough in a C-172 to experience that discomfort. Just make it part of your preflight: fill the plane and drain the vein ;p But it really is an extremely minor contingency.

  • @64wing a good pilot always hydrates himself properly and you need more fluids when flying

  • @210482fmj Can you offer any aeromedical evidence to support your claims? If you're going to start every sentence with, "a good pilot always..." I expect you to either be an experienced aviator or a medical doctor. I'm a pilot...not a gym teacher

  • camera man sucks !!!!!

  • how cool is that?! it seems it's easier to become a pilot in the U.S. than here in Europe!

  • congrats man! I know that the feeling you had was unlike anything else in the world...

  • Hey r u a pilot flying commercially now?

  • Buy the real text books and read carefully. Before I started lessons I used FS2004 which was great fun but because the theory was missing I had developed some bad habits like keeping my head down into the instruments and not looking outside.

  • How old where you?

  • @NTRvideos I was a freshman in College so like 18 i think. im 21 now with IFR working on commercial.

  • @ajliston11 When was the first time you flew like not solo but first ever behind the controls. i cant wate to become a pilot and work IFR commercial like you. i have a flight sim i do that i can do IFR on and its realy fun. Are there any tips you can give me for when i start?

  • @ajliston11 I joined the Royal Canadian Air Cadets (one step to my future) ;)

  • 6 people don't appreciate flying

  • awesome!! I had my first solo on Monday and loved it!!! Great job man!!!

  • Great veideo, it was a great and clear flight I guess since wat it can be seen:D However the camera man was not good at all! :(

  • well done on your solo

  • Congrats on having family support man!

  • CBF! It surprised me at first because I saw N367MA and thought that tail number seemed familiar lol. Congrats!

  • Hey mate, you're truly blessed to have such a supportive family!

  • Im suprized you were able to preform touch and go’s on your first solo. I go to SIUC, and had my first solo 3 days ago. Our MOS only allows us to do full stop taxi backs. Way to go man. good feeling eh

  • Nice job! What airport is that? My first solo was in a Katana back when I was 16. Just now am getting started on other ratings besides private.

  • The 4 people that dislike this must have crashed on their first solo.

  • my parents are going to do the same thing XD there going to take me to solo RIGHT on my birthday, oh boy just 2 more years!!!

  • The camera guy should have taken lessons on how to use the damn camera

  • @sinfuldavy0 Cry more.

  • @sinfuldavy0 LMFAO... :))))))

  • Congrats and all buddy but please, someone teach the person with the camera how to HOLD STILL!!! Its almost impossible to watch videos like this.

  • no i am done with some stupid immature retard.

  • No it's not true I just don't feel like talking to a retard ad I feel ba for the kids video we are arguing on . By the way jackass who can't spell it's McCain.I don't like any presidental canidates.

  • CONGRATS!!!!!! Can't wait for my first lesson

  • @AndreasHeger Flying is so fun!

  • i am at a small school in houston texas its the cheapest but has good instructors. ok so gleim for asa ? i am never scared to ask questions. I found out i was colorblind wendsday so now i am going to get the s.o.d.a . cause i can see the papi and all the colors just fine. how many hours you got now. you should have you ppl by now huh?

  • I'm gonna fucking piss myself on my first solo!!! O,0

  • And this is a day you will NEVER forget Congrats.

  • His most important flight of his life and you cant get out of the car to get a video?

  • Weldone Adam! Good luck for your future!

I did my Solo this wednesday :)

  • i am starting my ppl training on saturday. any words of advice you can give ? like any thing to help study for the test or checkride?

  • @tubagod88 Pay attention, don't be afraid to ask your instructor questions. Their are many Private Pilot Courses out their by Sporty's or King Schools. When it comes time for the written or checkride look into gleim or asa for guides.

  • my first solo is soon, im pretty nervous

  • this looks cool n ive always wanted to do this . but id be really nervous flying alone . is it really that hard to remember all those gauges n stuff ?? but ya id love ot do this i love flying !!!

  • @musicman3005 No it's very easy to remember all of the gauges. Actually its a lot more simple that people think.

  • good job buddy!

  • Congrats --- and the first solo is a flight you will always remember - and to have it video - great .

  • Your first solo "touch-and go" was picture perfect! Congrats! Camera person missed the second one though. Oh well. First was a winner...

  • GET SOME!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey congratz, I'm 14 now working to my license I can't wait, anyway gratz!

  • @Lizard6376 same here

  • Great job young man!!!!!

  • AWESOME VID. CONGRATS!!!!

  • thats sick i just did my solo like 2 weeks ago and im 14

  • @MrKp015 Im pissed cuz i have to wait untill my medical certificate is sent to me before i can go solo, im 15 now.

  • @MegaPascal31 interesting...third class medical you take a form to a lic MD and he checks you over signd the form [which is now your student pilots lic] then he send a portion of the forn to the faa

  • @ted850760 Some complications having to get an appointment with a CAME. It also took transport canada a good month and a half to send it to me. I just passed my rec exam though :P

  • @JumpStartation you lucky man

  • What a coincidence...I just soloed the other day and my family came and suprised me also and I had no clue!

  • @pilotpk1 you must have 40 hrs and be 17 years of age to get a private pilots license. You must pass FAA exams also. You can solo at 16 years of age. Your instructor is the one who will see if you are ready to solo and the one that makes the decision. Happy flying!

  • @chris5812341234 In Canada we can solo at 14 ;)

  • @JumpStartation HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE BE TO GET YOUR PPL AND IR?

  • @ccr26 To get both your private pilots license and instrument rating you must be 17....assuming you can afford it. =P

  • Comment removed

  • @JumpStartation OH IT"S THE SAME IN CANADA AS IT IS IN THE STATES?BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S 17 for PPL AND IR AND 16 to solo here in the U.S

  • @ccr26 Its 14 to solo here.

  • Your family did a nice thing there....

    Plus good job!

    keep at it..

  • man i cant wait till i take lessons next year :)

  • Hey, im a student pilot, wiht 5 hours, i wanted to know how long it took you to get to this point, and how long it took you to get your private pilot license. Let me know...

  • @pilotpk1 it took 15hour until i soloed and then another 45 or so to get my license.

  • My first solo is tomorrow! OMG!!!!

  • ANd WHY exactly do you think anyone else gives a shit?

  • Keep on flying!!!

  • beautiful bird

  • wow thats really cool, i cant wait till i start flying. great job

  • @moe761 me to

  • Good stuff though the video missed out the flares am also a student pilot and 1st solo touch and go's were not allowed, did my solo 27th December 2009

  • When and where was this taken? I am a student pilot right now and just solo'd two days ago. I understood that the faa prohibits any student pilot doing touch n goes? Atleast I didnt, I had to back taxi every time.

  • ur right, supposed to be a full stop taxi back. for fulfilling part 61 requirements. but no one has to know.

  • @skymaster337 i cant find it where it says as a student pilot you can not do that.??

  • @calilove626 idk where you read that, but at CBF airport they let us do them all the time.

  • I am starting ground school in January, cant wait till the day comes to solo:-]

  • Yeah it's cool once you finish ground, i just passed my written exam the other day and now im gonna start the flying part.

  • it'll happen. I know it was the most freightning yet most exciting experiences of my life. But I enjoyed every minute of it. Goodluck.

  • I have my first cross country solo in a few days ! Flying is the best ! Good job bud !

  • Congrats! I'm an instructor with 10,000 hours, and I NEVER get tired of watching a first solo. It's an awesome feeling, being a part of making a student's dream come true.

  • out of curiosity how much does and instructor make?

  • 25k on a good year. At least in my part of Florida.

  • wow not what i thought

  • @betterdenu452 Some even do it for free to build hours on their log book. It all helps for progressing in a flying carreer.

  • I remember being a CFI and delivering food on bad days. I loved bringing students into IMC. I can always remember their faces when they finish their flights. I know a lot of instructors out there don't want to take students into IMC. 1. they are not confident in themselves. 2. Its a good excuse for a day off. Be aware of those instructors. If you're a student pilot with at lease 30 hrs and are doing cross countries you should tell your instructor to take you up in the clouds and play around.

  • good price is 55 an hour

  • it depends. if you work for a flight school not much. if you work for yourself a lot more. I was a freelance instructor I was teaching for free before. then it went from free. to 15/hr. then 20/hr. then 25/hr. I know some instructors in California that makes 100-150/hr. depends on your experience level. But one thing is for sure. If you're a good instructor, are you able to adapt to your students. I miss being a CFI.

  • Also, when I graduated. My actual was only like 5 hours. that's nothing. I vowed I would never do that to any of my students. Some instructors are more like flight destructors. and I feel so sorry about that

  • minimum wage

  • @ejuoi ether that or he is a some rich kid born with sucking on a silver spoon.

  • yes hot air. I was a flight instructor and loved doing what I did. Teaching a student how to land and control the A/C on all three axis takes experience and skills. Only when a student does that do I let them solo. I miss that feeling of sharing my knowledge and skills with people that are wanting to learn to fly. I'm flying a G-IV right now in Macau

  • @hotairbassoon cheers to you sir.. i'm currently a student pilot with only 10hours of flying time.. I wonder when can i do my solo. xD

  • @hotairbassoon hey i have a question. im 14 and ive done my intro flight and i wont get to solo untill im 16. my instructor said to fly once a month untill im 15 because i will have had more than 800 hours by the time im 16. he said if i start to train 2 times a week then i will be done and ready to solo by december. i am wondering if this is a good idea because i will forget alot after 1 month.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0

well 800 hours at 100$ an hour for a plane and 40$ for an instructor is..........

    112,000 dollars.

I smell me a troll, or a 14 year old wannabe

  • @Weefles i smell me a faggot, how am i being a troll.. i smell that your friggn jealous that a 14 year old kid can fly when all u can do is sit at home and play FSX. go and fuck around somewhere else. i was askin a question where you DONT need to answer.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0 you are a fag, there is no way you have 20 hours you little kid.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0

No actually I am a pilot, and im not jealous. 800 hours? yeah right. thats more than 8 hours a week for two years. Considering you ARE 14 that doesnt make much sense now, does it? I think your jealous that I can fly and all you can do is sit at home and play FSX.

  • @Weefles and haha first day of flying. taxi to and hold short of runway. ground maneuvers. roll, yaw, and pitch. pilots handbook of aeronautical knowledge. Sporty's Private Pilots. and Jeppesen flight books. cessna. check list took longer than flight.

Fuel tested by poking a cylindrical container with a tube on the front for removing fuel and checking for water and sediments. now i could go on and on about just one day. 2nd day, learn about stalls, do some stalls, sped through checklist.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0

Im sure you did a quick google search to read all of this good stuff.

Thats called "Sumping" the fuel tank, and you do it every flight.

And I recommend doing a quick google search, planes can get MUCH more expensive than $100, that was an average. Now for $70 dollars im sure your flying in the best POS cessna on this side of the mississipi, and if you were about to get 800 hours you would buy a headset. Dumbfuck.

As previously stated, you are the ignorant one.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0 you must like obama huh ? freaking idiot!

  • @tubagod88 u must like mc cain cuz ur parents are republican. all you do is wait till polls, look at the name with the R (for republican) and connect the line. you arent informed at all about anything. i know ppl like you. i actually have liked republican and democrats and even tho some of obama stuff is crap, he is a good speaker and a very persuasive one. go and watch some bias FOX news now. the power house for the faggots, like you

  • @0MUSEMUSE0 just shut up and go put your helmet on ....

  • @tubagod88 lol nothing to say can u. cuz u kno its tru.

  • @Weefles and actually its $70 for a plane, $7 for a headset, and 40 depending on which instructor. if ur a real pilot im sure u would know that it isnt 100 for a plane. retard.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0 That was quite ignorant of you. Depending on what flight school you go to the costs are different. At the flight school I go to the plane costs 95, instructor is 60, and you pay for fuel. The headsets are free to rent, but I have my own so it doesn't matter. Just thought that I'd throw that out there.

  • @THExGOODxLIFE307 i know the costs are different but you are just some prick who likes to fuck around just for the hell of it. im just making a statement, proving a point of how ur a jackass and im being reasonable. now please.

  • @0MUSEMUSE0 I only said that one thing, I believe your argument was with Weefles. Stop trying to be tough over the internet and just leave everyone alone.

  • @hotairbassoon This is a really fun video to watch and your comment is a great addition to it.

  • @hotairbassoon 10000!!! wow

  • @hotairbassoon i´ll have my first solo within this month !

  • very nice, congratz on ur 1st solo, i will be doing mine in a couple more lessons =] cant wait

  • heyy do you know michael larson?

  • well done, i am supposed to be soloing tomorrow but the weather doesn't seem to be as cooperative as yours

  • nice very nice well done cant wait for mine again congrats nice to have family there

  • Its really awesome to see all the comments from young pilots. I myself am currently in training and i am also 16 years old. in the words of my instructor "the world needs more pilots", so its good for all these people to be interested in aviation.

  • It's the greatest feeling in the world! Did my first solo last week. Congrats on your accomplishment!

  • Im soloing in 66 days! On my 16th birthday!

  • The plane i train in last 3 numbers and letters of the call sign are 3MA ur are 7MA cool

  • great supportive family ;)

  • I SOLO MONDAY IM SO EXCITED..... WHAT A 16th birthday
