@melovetorun loool american idol helped taylor swift. if she had gone on american idol-she would have became a laughing stock and never even have made it into the music industry. lol and american idol doesn't necessarily give u fame or anything. just look at previous idols. @melovetorun hah well funny....she has smashed album selling records, she's beautiful, talented, can write, play guitar, and sing UNBELEIVABLE .... of course Taylor didn't use a platform like American Idol because if she had, she probably wouldn't have won because her raw talent is not anything close to Carrie, and nobody really cares what you say or anyone else that doesn't like Carrie, you are few and far between and i can't hear your comments over her 11 #1 singles!
@melovetorun , well, I don't think Taylor would have enter into American Idol, Taylor would have not made through very far. She doesn't have the vocal power to do it. Whereas Carrie had no experience, that's why she tryout for this show. As you hear from this video, she never really thought she was going to be the winner.
