A large rat can easily bite the eye or eyelids or any other part of the lizard which can cause a deadly infection. Not to mention the unnecessary suffering the rodent have to go through in that time.

That's because you're human. It's not like the poor things have a chance like if they were in the wild. And it's one thing to just feed them, but to video tape it for "entertainment" is for psychotic people. There's nothing interesting about it. At least on educational videos, it shows you how some can get away, etc. This is just a bunch of bullshit and it's polluting Youtube.

If people were this sensitive to mankind surely the world would be a much better place. The difference between this and National Geographic is, this video sums up what most wanna see, animals eating prey N.G. may show the habitat and give you aspects about the animals life but at the end of the day they show animals killing their prey and thats why most watch and producers know or they wouldnt include it. It's all entertainment good vid thanx for cuttin to the chase and by all means make more.

jjeeemmm feeding live will not harm ur snake if they've been eating live all their lives and especially with snakes of that size, it could be a problem for younger ones as a big mouse or rat could harm a small snake. With that said I love ur nile and the green tree python eating its sweet. I have a tegu urs is an argentine aswell right? Good video and for all u critics it says necessary bloodshed reptile feeding if u like mammals y the fuck would u watch it its for reptile fans not mammal lovers

that's funny because the sandeigo zoo feeds there's mostly supplemented ground turkey... and i could have swarn that pro exotics one of main importers as well as producers of the monitors in US captivity has there monitors on about a 80% rodent diet. let me know if mine is suppose to drop dead or somthing... shes only a solid 5 feet... by the way mine also eats ground turkey. raw egg, and baby chickens. fish arnt necessary but a welcome treat. carwdads are a favorit.

While nature isn't always pretty - and that said, I find JonahVore's videos quite interesting - this video, I find inappropriate. Footage of animals feeding naturally is one thing, but this video does nothing but glorify death and torment of helpless animals. Life and death are not entertainment. I would really be interested in knowing the mindset of this video's creator - however primitive.

Actually, in the wild, having a strong pair of jaws clamp down on your brainstem or having your rib cage neatly and "professionally" coiled up are among the least painful ways to die. Since everybody dies, the two questions regard quality of life while healthy and suffering (or lack thereof) while dying. Those who jump up and down about so-called animal cruelty seem oblivious to these things.
