@sh4rpsh0t33 as far fetched as the anime was to begin with i think they could have done a little piccolo fan service and had him kill 17 off and figured out a way to revive or reconstruct him. Piccolo never got any love in dbz he was behind the curve from day 2. if your shining moment is helping someone else beat 1 person in the opening episodes followed by 300+ episodes of taking ass beatings or taking side rolls id quit lol.

@DarkPrynce Yeah, it tends to work that way with most shows. The heros such as Goku and Gohan tend to get the "big" roles, because after all that is what it was intended to happen. There needs to be side characters, and no matter what they really will never get to do as much as the main guys.  Sucks sometimes with guys like Piccolo, but it is more practical.

@sh4rpsh0t33 id agree with you however some of the more modern anime and some that where around the same time have done it a bit different though still leaning close to the same idea. One piece comes to mind when thinking of characters that are not the ideal *main* character, however still have a detailed background and solid growth through the anime that rivals or comes close to rivaling the main main characters.

@DarkPrynce Eh...One piece doesn't really have the character/story line DBZ has, so it makes it hard to compare the two. There will always be characters that people wish got more screen time whether it is Piccolo, Mr. Popo, or General Tao. Nothing is ever perfect.
