Thank you I can't wait to cook this- and I never knew to wait until the end for masala. excellent. toasting the cumin seed- very nice, I love that taste
Hello Manjulaji: Tusi great hoo ! I tried this dish today and it came out just great. My Mother-in-Law was very impressed with my cooking. Kabhee Aap USA ayein to hum panee hathon seey khana banakeey khilayengee.
Thankyou Aunty for this wonderful dish. I have been hoping to meet someone with your experience to learn how to achieve the authentic flavours of India and happily you have helped me achieve that!
Hello aunty! This was a really good recipe to try. I didn't have tomato puree but blanched them and minced ginger-garlic separately and added to pan. Also used water from blanched tomatoes back in the dish where required. To finish off I added a little coconut milk - don't ask me why - but its added a slight sweet tangy taste to the chole-palak dish. Thanks!
Thank you Auntiji for your recipes.. This looks so yummy and i am hungry already... i think this will taste great with Puris/or Ghee Paratha's(btw i am dietin!)
I have cooked enough Indian recipes to know this is going to be super-delicious. Your recipes are always fantastic. And chick peas and spinach are two foods I really enjoy.
Perfect. It's nice to see you posting videos again on You Tube.
lol aunty ji im punjabi and at 5:06 CHOLA means a womens you know i don`t know if it means the same in hindi but im just gonna correct you on the slight mispronounciation and nice aunty ji once again nice tutorial im gonna make this tonight
She added asafetida powder (also called "hing). I have used it before; however, it is a very, very strong-smelling powder. It is good, but I strongly recommend that you add just a pinch, as trust me, it's strong.
This is wonderful! Thank you for the yummy recipe.

I is called "asafotida" - known as "hing" in Indian stores -- its a sharply aromatic resin.
