they make a crowd wild, good musicians, high on music and life. gotta love em. I can't wait to see them again. I saw them in R .Island at a folk festival. Never heard of them before. So glad i did.

i think rick reubuen was a perfect choice for them. It kinda opened their music up to a different audience while still kepping it true to their style. If you listen its not that much different then Emotionalism.

BTW...I adore this recording and will be doing double nights in Asheville for new years this year!! can not wait!!

They are not the typical or stereotyped nor country or commercial band, nobody but them can decide the route or new style they want to take. I believe it is part of their freedom and they are very clear about not slavering their self's upon anything..

Even though people say Rick Ruben isn't the right direction; The Avett Bros. know it is the right one. The only ones who would know what the right direction is, are the ones producing music for the people, and having a good time. If the Avett Bros. want to play this new music, and progress over time, let them!

What gives people the right to choose is the fact that they do not have to like every song the avetts put out. personally, there isn't one i dislike, but there are plenty of bands where i dont like all of their music. I think I and Love and You is a great album, but its not nearly as good in my opinion. Am i allowed to think that Winstonpace??? Or should i just think the same way you do?
