It's also a bit disrespectful to start downplaying France's involvement to justify our "rightful" position there - we fought it together, that's all that matters.
It's just disgusting. What a shame ! Whatever our officials say, We, the people of France, do invite Her Majesty the Queen to the D.Day celebrations ! That's the least we can do to thank her personally, and Great Britain in general.
It's not up to Gordon Brown to invite anyone in France... that's the French president's business.
