A definition of the best player are all around capabilities. Lebron James has a more defined all around game than Kobe. Kobe is more on the offensive end, while Lebron can definitely play both offense and defense effectively.

@Pap3rchas3r09 it's not all about James, sure they lost one of the best players in the league in Lebron but you have to admit that haven't been playing with the same lineup ever since that good start wherein they beat the Heat. Mostly because of injuries to key players and Mo hasn't been the same ever since his first trip to the Playoffs. We wouldn't how things would turn out if Kobe had James' situation and vice versa 'cause it never did happen.
@LiqCharles first of all the cavs never beat the heat. secondly, we don't know exactly what would have happened but we know that when kobe had a team of talent similar to the cavs from 04-07, he didn't make it out of the first round of the playoffs while Lebron went to the NBA finals and lebron was 21 years old kobe was in his prime in those years. so that's a pretty good indicator.

The fact of the matter is that kobe has never showed me he could lead a team like the one lebron played on to a championship. That being said u have to compare each of their individual statistics. Lebron wins in virtually every statistic there is in basketball. Not to mention in half the time that kobe has played he's managed to get double the triple doubles he had and double the MVPs he has.

Mostly because of injuries to key players and Mo hasn't been the same ever since his first trip to the Playoffs. We wouldn't how things would turn out if Kobe had James' situation and vice versa 'cause it never did happen.

@LiqCharles first of all the cavs never beat the heat. secondly, we don't know exactly what would have happened but we know that when kobe had a team of talent similar to the cavs from 04-07, he didn't make it out of the first round of the playoffs while Lebron went to the NBA finals and lebron was 21 years old kobe was in his prime in those years. so that's a pretty good indicator.
