slingblade was one of the greatest movies ever made, that shit make me cry. carl was just a good ol boy, just like him some french fried tators and bizkits and mustard. .. part that tears me up is when hes says to the boy that he wants to put his arm around him, and that he loves him, and he just walks off because hes got his mind set on what he is going to do.

Carl is one of the FEW fictional characters I have ever seen that are so convincingly played that I REALLY think there is a good chance someone like that ACTUALLY EXISTS.

In fact, the entire Slingblade movie seems like an actual world that parallels our reality. I found all those characters and situations to be utterly real.

Stay tuned for my next Sling Blade Project. I plan to re-make the beginning of the movie (the part that takes place in the "nervous hospital") using the original screenplay. The screenplay differs quite a bit from the movie in some places.
