How not to thaw a stick of butter. Put butter in glass bowl. Open microwave door. Throw bowl into microwave from the other side of the room. Done.

The bowl had a shattering experience. A sticky situation. When you heard the noise you probably thought dish is it. The bowl was busting up without jokes. The bowl needs to pull itself together. The bowl is beside itself.

not sure, I think there must have been a flaw in the glass. I have another bowl exactly like it and I use it all the time with no problems.

When microwaves were still fairly new, I put a cup of water in to heat for tea. The whole microwave pretty much exploded. Turns out, the cup I used was a Correll cup, the kind they used to make with the curly handle. Well, to keep the handle from breaking off, since it was only attached on one end, Correll braced it inside with metal.

Thanks for the sub! That bowl (and it's partners) have been used many times. Not sure why it chose now to explode unless it was possessed.
