The whole rest of the world seems to understand that racing isn't racing because of passing. Racing is about whoever can get to the destination the fastest. For some reason, we in America seem to think it's cool to stop the race with unnecessary full course yellows, make people give up there track position by closing the pits under caution and now, Brian Barnhart thinks he can tell drivers what line to take into the corner!!! Thats absolutely ridiculous.
Awesome race. average USA race view incapable of understanding this type of pure motor racing. No fake cautions/Advetisement commercial TV time such as Nascar's Bristol night race of the same weekend.
GP of Sonoma overall was a (great show of Team's potential, driver focus/talent, overal car management, mechanical brilliance etc etc This was a special race / . A pure racers race caution free stints
no race is boring, every race is an intense and fierce competition with every team fighting for a good result. sometimes there are less entertaining shananigans, but the sport is not all about entertaining its fans, thats what nascar is about.
That was a bs penaly for Pantano, he does a great job all day long and in the final corner he gets in trouble and he's penalized from 6th to 17th?? A penalty to 7th would have been fair since it was the spot he would have lost.
@viper2131@viper2131 The call to give Pantano a penalty was the right call. 17th place was fair..imo
He would have been give a drive thru penalty or stop and go... but since it was the last lap that is not possible this is not an option. therefore Indycar calculated potential time of penalty if Pantano was to do a Drive thru and added this time to his finishing result.(penalty would'nt have been so sever if he were to serve the penaty during long caution free segment of the race)
Blocking, my ass...Brainfart needs to go, now

That full course yellow was avoidable.

To those saying this is boring:

gosh this race was boring. it's either the track or the cars. can't wait till '12 for new cars.
FoolishGrey 6 months ago
@FoolishGrey Its the track, the straights simply aren't long enough
AlonsoRules 6 months ago
IRL, you need to replace this track with a better racing track, I would suggest Road America or Portland

oh whaoo!! ohhhhh.... more and more " ohhh Nooos " at the last half of the video.

Ouch, back to 5 min highlights.
MisterMonkeyWhiskers 6 months ago
@MisterMonkeyWhiskers I'm surprised they even found 5 min worth of highlights. The race was as exciting as watching paint dry...

@MaverickXSE
yep, it was boring, but this is not the reason they did a 5min video, :(
