it's small for the champions league games and the derbies, but i think it's OK for the Italian league.It's better to have a smaller stadium-and without a running track- that will be full in every game than a bigger one that will be almost empty. Better atmosphere and less cost for the team

In my opinion you've got reason, but the problem is that when the Juve played in the old stadium, (65.000 places about), during the Champion's League the stadium was often full, but during Italian league there were always 20.000-25.000 persons (obviusly not for most important games). So i think that 45.000 places is the correct choise.
