It is painfully obvious that the Viper for one reason or another let up. All of the other times they stayed the same distance from each other down the straights. Did all of a sudden the Mustang gain 100HP because it got warmed up or something? Hell no. I love Mustangs. I own one right now. However, the Viper is NOT a POS and you all know it. It has great handling and power or you would not see them on the race circuit like you do. And what's with Speedy Gonzalas doing the play by play?

@SchwartzeBaron Maybe the Viper is the poorer driver? Last summer, I saw two young kids in a Viper in my town. Not exactly a big money area. But the kid could not drive for shit! He just had money. They jumped the curb pulling out of the gas station. He was grinding gears when shifting into second. Then he stomped it and started fishtailing almost taking out people in an intersection and a few parked cars.

True, by the ACR only. I'm not talking crap or anything b/c I love Vipers, but only after front & rear down force, shocks, & front/rear damper adjustments were tuned for Nur. Basically the ACR is a race car built enough times to be called production car, lol. Sold as is off the assembly line after a couple warm up laps it was only able to put down 7:35, so technically factory production Nur. records would be 1st-maserati mc12, 2-Zonda F, 3-Enzo, 4-ZR1 with only 2 sec. between 1st & 4th.

Ok, First of all, I "only"ran a 1.43 because this was an open track event not a race, no passing was allowed on the turns, and there was lots of slow traffic in front of me (including the Viper). Secondly, before the pass I left turn 9 HOT and the Viper knew it. If you watch you can see me gaining on him the whole time. Yes he backed off after he realized that I was going to pass him anyway and he didnt want to go into turn 1 too hot. I think later that day the Viper wiped out in turn 3.

I've seen lots of Vipers at WS big track, and have driven it myself a couple dozen times in my 2001 GTS. I can say that the Viper in this video was not coming off Turn 9 any where near as fast as he could have. By the end of the front straight, he looked like he was doing about 120, instead of the typical 135. Definitely not pushing his ride there. Nice Mustang, BTW. I like.

The viper driver let up. During the whole race the viper was not only in the lead but pulled away. I love these stupid victories you ford guys claim. Not only did he pass him so did everybody else behind him. The viper was slowing down and left the track because we never see it again. STUID FORD FUCKS!!!!

If it was a drag race, the Shelby should easily stomp the viper, Vipers are way to front heavy and dont get any traction in the back, but thats what you get with a heavy ass v10. they shoulda thought about the power weight ratio before making the ugly ass things. id say the Shelby needs about 350hp to stay with a viper witch has 500hp
