As foar as other sites, I will be posting a video soon on multiple websites. Zippcast is a current possibility, but it is a new site, so you have to be REALLY patient. Those who claim they like the new layout never said why, except something like (which always makes me burst into ironic laughter) "It's user friendly".
Do they mean it's easy to click continually on videos and watch ads hour after hour without communicating with anyone? That's what Goolag Tomb want.
New YouTube is shit! Don't watch any videos on youtube AND don't watch any youtube videos that are embedded on other websites on March 6-8. Like if someone on facebook posts a youtube vid, don't watch it.
1. You mention going to channel settings and clicking "Make channel invisible". I was looking at my settings, and didn't see that button. Do you know where I can find it?
2. Is it going to be possible to preserve our old channel designs if we host another blackout on March 6-8?
@PlescEntertain93 1. Make sure you are on your channel and signed in, and not just on your settings page. Click on "settings" at the top of your channel page. You will see a choice that says "make channel visible". Check "no" to make your channel invisible. You can make it visible again by checking "yes".
2. We can spread the word and make another blackout happen. I am more than ready for another protest! We need to get more people involved though this time. Let me know!

Apparently, they have failed to see what happens to other companies that go too far...Remember "New" Coke in the 80's? Or how about what almost happened to Netflix recently?
It seems too alarmist. 90% Of these alarmist things aren't true. I know that this can be true...but why we need to turn the channels invisible? And if youtube would do something like that,they would warn us. Youtube force us to change to that HORRIBLE new channel design,and we still do what they want?
@monolopho10 You may want to read the new Google privacy policy, and the new policy here at YT. The reason for turning our channels and videos invisible, is that google places ads next to our vids. YT gets paid for every view. By not having our vids and channels invisible we send a clear financial message. Many of us have already moved to zippcast. It is like the old YT. Fell free to connect with us there! Same username.

Oh oh. There's a problem. People are under the misconception that if they make their channel unavailable their vids become unavailable but it's not true. You have to go into your upload list and set the videos to private. That's the only way to make them unavailable. I make my vids private but keep my channel open. I have a special boycott bg I use for boycott days and I feature a boycott video (that has no ads).
@M424Filmcast A couple of us are working right now to get someone who can do good computer tutorials so they can help with a vid on Preparing Channels for Boycotts. It'll need to give good straightforward instructions with clear shots of what they're doing on the computer screen. When it's done we can add it as a response to our protest vids. I'll keep you posted on how we make out with this. Thanks for your continued efforts in fighting this nonsense!. I'm just on today for protest business.

@sphinx4real Sure. Click on your username in the upper right corner of the screen, and select My Channel link from the drop down list of links.
Once on your Channel page, click on the Edit Channel button.
Select the Info and Sharing tab.
Click the box that says Make my Channel visible on YouTube. If you'd like your Channel to be invisible, unselect the box.
