i am a big fan of dean's arc throughout season 1 & 2 when the ghost of his father was still strongly around. i like how he tries to break free from his ascendance and be his own man and yet when he does he finds hiself so lost and weak, strangely enough... hence the angels being the metaphors of self-confidence and faith in himself..... don't get me started on sam's arc ;)
