Good grief!!! What a bloody pain. USA we also have something like that called instrument rating. Lots of pilots use it and are successful pilots. I would hate to think what would happen here if EU like directive came down to us. Stupid EU.

Its just another example of why centralising nations doesnt work and why localism is superior. We know are own area better than they do and hence we should make our own laws, taxes etc.

Yup a large government takes the view of one size fits all. And even if it does not fit they will bash it into place. Like a squire peg in a round hole.

I personally believe that the real people in charge are planning to sacrifice their opwn currencies(dollar, pound etc) to prop up the Euro so once the turmoil is over, or even in the middle of it, they can look to the Euro and say "a one world currency is the way to go"

@Mackingster Are you retarded honestly? The IMC rating is only recognised in britain Primarily made for GA pilots, to allow them to fly in lower visabilty and other priviledges. We ALSO have the instrument rating it's WORLDWIDE, how else do you think british pilots fly airways? Some people the amount of shit that comes out of there mouth is unbelievable.
