I was picking my son up from school. There was such a putrid stench in the air. We're close to water sewage trmt. plant but, - this was completey different. (lived here for years). Then going home this golden haze of dust like particles were at person level and I walked right through it - but it was in such a small condensed area I questioned it but dismissed it as some wierd residue from someone maybe renovating their home or something. But, I have NEVER seen anything like it.

Your breath does cause ice fog clouds to form, but you do know humidity varies don't you?

For persistent cloud to form it requires to be high humidity or supersaturation. You breath also rapidly disperses due to the small volume of water & large amount of turbulence so proportionally a long thin trail won't form

Jet engines release over a kilo of water for every kilo of fuel burnt.

In alaska & other cold places ground bound ice fog forms. That is your persistent contrail from humans & cars.

They didn't say 'soot' i.e. unburnt hydrocarbons, they said biological particles such as bacteria & fungus and mineral dust. Does jet exhaust leave a trail of bacteria and mineral dust? Maybe it does. Enough to act as nuclei that attract enough water vapour to form clouds large enough to spread out to cover the sky? Maybe it does. That is what I would call weather-modifying pollution, regardless of whether it is intentional or not. And that, I believe, is something to be concerned about.

No, jet exhausts do not leave trails of bacteria and mineral dust. Engine combustion would destroy - incinerate any biological material. Minerals would destroy engine bearings and turbines.

It doesn't get real cold where I am and here it is almost summer and we still have jet trails growing into clouds, so they are definitely not made up of ice crystals. It appears one of the evil doers who support the spraying programs has been here and downvoted all the previous comments.

It's not warm at 30,000+ feet in the lower stratosphere.

Most passenger planes cruise around 30-35,000 ft.

That's higher than the peak of Mount Everest which is only 29,000ft, not known for being balmy even in the peak of summer even though it is equivalent in latitude to Orlando Florida. At the height of summer it is well below freezing at that altitude.
