  • boris wont ever get my vote

  • the ONLY way to reduce pollution is at the ENGINE. any other method is just a sad WASTE of tax payers money .

BORIS youre wasting your time with this one.

london buses could ALL be fitted with a GEET (spad) (ecopra) system that lowers emissions SIGNIFICANTLY. not to mention BIODIESEL that IS NOT CARCINOGENIC . a HHO (hydrogen on demand) system actually breaks down H20 into HHO the hydrogen burns CLEANLY and the oxygen comes out the exhaust. DIRTY BIG OIL DO NOT LIKE THE EFFICIENCY OF IT.

  • Evasive bluster from Boris with added grumpiness when his attempts to distract with humour failed. An odious man who hides behind his 'loveable buffoon' charade. Although, the 'buffoon' part might be genuine.

Excellent grilling from Jenny Jones. If Londoners want cleaner air, safer roads, etc. she's a better choice for mayor.

  • Have you read the initial report on the Embankment dust glue trials ? I can't say I was impressed or found it convincing. They didn't use a reference method to assess the pollution, they struggled hard to find something they could use as a control to measure the effect of the dust-glue against. They didn't mention any results from the reference method sensor that was already installed on the route they sprayed.......The jury is still out as far as I am concerned.

  • @otro101 GOOD POINT. and when it rains any other particulates get flushed into the River Thames

not to mention the wildlife .

water is not CALCIUM MAGNESIUM ACETATE i think thats where BORIS gaffed. after reading wikipedia the CHEMICAL is as CORROSIVE AS TAP WATER. also used as a road de-icer.

so what are the health risks to the public and wildlife?? boris you listening?? NO NO nO no no

  • For a man whose stated priority of his transport policy is to "ease the flow of traffic" through London (not to increase use of public transport or walking or cycling), who wants to suspend the low emission zone and who decreased the congestion zone to claim to be sincerely trying to reduce pollution in London is an insult to every Londoner. I have never once seen him answer a question properly at these events, he's a disgrace. Not so funny now is he London?

  • What's to stop the pollution being picked up and thrown into the air by other vehicles?

  • I don't see how he can be with being so intentionally evasive.

  • Research shows that those living near such roads with over 10,000 vehicles a day could be responsible for some 15- 30 per cent of all new cases of asthma in children. There are 2,270 schools in London are within 400 metres of roads carrying 10,000 or more vehicles per day.
