I didn't know that coastal scents eyeshadow was so high pigmented. How would you grade coastal scents compared to other makeup lines like Mac or Lancome?

I know you didnt ask me, but i have both the 88 shimmer and matte paletttes from CS and they are just as good as MAC eyeshadow IMO. i always use a primer though. hope i helped!

I'm not sure about the dark skin (I woud guess it does, but I have no experience to back it up), but as for the price, it's probably because each eyeshadow pot is only the size of a dime.

not sure, im guessing because they are MASS MASS MASS produced in china, japan, and korea. as a matter of fact, coastalscents is as expensive as youll find the palettes; on ebay they are like $9.00-$12.00. although theyre made overseas i believethey are safe sence they are sold via coastalscents - a florida based company!

This is true, the palettes sold through Coastal Scents are 100% FDA approved (they have to be to be sold from a US company)...but the same guarantee cannot be made for products sold through Ebay. Of course, those are most likely just as safe to use, the FDA doesn't monitor private sellers (ie. Ebay sellers - even power sellers). Just something to bare in mind.

M.A.C is a high quality cosmetic company, so the shades are generally easier to use. CS eyeshadows CAN be just as pigmented and dramatic as M.A.C, but it takes much more skill and work to create the same looks you can with just a few brush strokes of any M.A.C eyeshadow. Still, for the price, it's fairly impressive what you can do with the 88 Palette.

@e3433 I dont think so, as you can see I combined matte with shimmer, shimmery colours are not necessarily as powerful and bright as the matte ones but you can make a statemed with only using shimmer ones, tell me what have you decided in the end and if you make pictures please share with me as wll, I would love to see it. hugs

Ok, the 2nd blue - the darker one, is the really pretty sparkley blue at the very bottom of the original CS palette. The 1st blue is the one right on top of the sparkley one. I hope that helps! :) I LOVE this look, but I tried it and it turned into a big racoon eyed muddy mess lol Though it was my first attempt at a dramatic eye, and apparently, I'm really bad at it!! LoL I love this though! Gorgeous!
