@xpressurs If the govt pays someone to rebuild a bridge--that's a job. Also, rebuilding that bridge helps others get to their jobs. It's not a waste because people use those bridges. Also, the guy that gets paid to rebuild the bridge then goes and buys food--which creates jobs at supermarkets and farms and food processing plants. You don't really know what creates jobs do you?

Here's a thought: end the oil subsidies. That should free up plenty of money for building. Also, I know a lot of construction workers that are out of work right now cuz no-one's building unless its paid for up front. Add in that most of the road construction workers I see are Mexican (in appearance), hmm, I wonder where all the construction jobs went. True, those guys could be legal, but when you see a large percentage of Latinos fixing roads with only one or two white or black guys with them...

Think about the exuberant perpetually rising fees at the DMV. That money is supposed to go to local governments to maintain roads and bridges. There is no reason for the Federal Government to spend our money on these projects that are full of bureaucracy and waste money.

The last time a renewed my license the lady at the DMV stated that they were not run by the government and were a privately owned for profit company that has been struggling, they have raised fees, changed locations with lower rent, and closed offices and laid off workers to keep afloat.

Maintaining privallage and power, and funneling corporate dollars into their pockets essentially letting lobbyists write the laws. The Democrats push socialistic ideas, and behave as fascists. Republicans push fascist ideas and behave as fascists. As for Hank comparing Obama to Hitler, why is that an issue? It isn't but may stir up Obama's base as people blindly follow their brand.

@mrfreedomdemocracy1 8.8% unemployment? Mate even with the fudged government numbers we are at 9.1%, non-fudged numbers we are at around 21%. When the government says our un-employment is around 9% they are just counting the number of people currently receiving unemployment. Hence why that 10% dropped to 8.8%.
