@salman6896 I exported these as wav from Audacity. But when I record in Garageband, I uncheck "compress" from the "Share" menu and export as .aiff before I convert to .wav. .aif is another lossless format, whereas with mp3 you'd lose a bit of quality c:

@Yrekkkkk A really basic Japanese UTAU is super simple to record, actually. It's splitting up the sound files and editing the oto and stuff that takes more time.

I recorded my dad's and mom's in one take (though their pronunciation is... aha... xD)

@Yrekkkkk Well Spanish isn't AS bad, but Japanese is only around 122 sounds. For English alone I've seen lists from 300 to 1000+ sounds, and I have no idea for other romance languages.

@UTAUxyz @Yrekkkkk For English you can basically bet (if you're going to have consistent and/or continuous English) on about 2,000 samples. Japanese (Not continuous, yet consistent) has about 122 like Mysty said. French lists (I've only seen like, two) are CVVC (Continuous, but not very consistent) and trying to get the sounds just right for it is a job in and of itself. Spanish is close to Japanese in pronunciation, so it's not too difficult. There's a few other languages out there. :)
