Lol im a die hard gundam fan and i didn't even consider buying this after my friend did on its launch.. This game could have been better but it was rushed for the ps3's launch date. But yeah the frame rate sucks the gameplay is horrifically slow and its just not fun...Well it is cool how you can cut off the body parts.
It gets faster when you unlock the Gundams and late model GMs for the Federation and the Gouf Custom for Zeon. I'm only up to the 29th of November on my first Zeon playthrough so I haven't unlocked the Gelgoog, and I haven't purchased any Doms yet. I'm one rank away from unlocking the Kampfer, I think.
Raijin: It's nice to see another playstyle. You use the sniper scope a lot. I usually try to get in close and circle strafe with a gun then get in really close for the beam saber/heat hawk.
I use long distance to soften targets for my wingmen. Their AI isnt too great, and spending days on repairs sucks. If i have a heavy weapon i aim for a single leg-its instant death when a leg is destroyed. Otherwise I take out their main weapon. Do hope they make more/better Gundam games.
I did use the scope on the Zeon mission to capture the naval base. I removed all of the Ground GMs as a distance threat by taking off all of their right arms while they were in the base. Then I let them run towards me and have my wingmen take them out.
