great news om January 2nd 2012 Versus will relaunch as NBC Sports Network NBC Sports will have their own 24 hour network so I hope this means NBA will be back under NBC Sports network

this theme just makes the nba feel bigger then anything abc/espn/tnt/tbs has done with the sport. Every week when the classic theme would hit you knew something big was happening. I miss that

@mjhartman1986 Same here although CBS has done a great job with the package, I really want FOX to lose their package to NBC so we can have two quality sports networks broadcast these NFL games.

@IcePackie Plus, NBC and CBS are transmitting over the air HD signals at 1080i, while Fox, CW, ESPN, and ABC are using low grade HD 720p. The Super Bowl looked better on NBC than it did on Fox because of the higher resolution. Fox and Disney are too cheap to use full HD. I was using rabbit ears to watch the Super Bowl because I was waiting for a new HD cable box, and it looked better over the air on NBC than it did watching it last year on Fox through my old Dish Network connection.

I love the theme song. Only thing is the NBC peecock log at end of song and the guy before song with that breif music saying "This is the NBC Network" all sounds like 1970s, early 1980s NBC.

This is one the best edited fan videos I've ever seen. For a moment, I actually believed that NBC had gained the actual right to broadcast the NBA effective 2016. I certainly hop they do get them, given that the best NBA on TV years were with NBC.

i miss and remember nba on nbc and nbc sports has the best sports coverage by far out of the big four networks nbc abc cbs fox, i hope that in 2016 nba on nbc returns along with mlb on fox ending so mlb on nbc could return too!
