When I was a student, I used to listen to a local radio station that played music from the 60s and early 70s and I used to hear this song all the time. But since that station changed formats, I hardly hear it anymore. It is so incredibly moving. Thanks for posting.
BOB LIND is a super fine singer. Check out his website...there are MANY fine newer songs there you will love...Also, Jane Morgan sang this song in English AND in French...probably the only singer to sing it in a foreign language.
Thanks ineedoftherapie for uploading your video. Nice compilation of different species of butterflies and such a lovely song...wow, takes me back to my childhood, lovely!
My children think of me when they hear this song, one calls me from Az.and lets me hear it over the phone ,because sheknowsI love ithoping some radio would play itit,I've grown old,luv n thanks.
Iwas pregnant with my son and just marrioed, had moved from Texas to Florida1965 and every timeI'd hear this song I 'D CRY ,i MLOVED IT SO MUCH i was 18 ,now I AM 61 and I STILL LOVE IT .
One of my personal "Top 100." You know, for a while I thought this was Bobby Goldsboro under his birth name! The imagery is strong in this work of art.
Wonderful oldie - exquisite video. Congratulations inneedoftherapie.

Yes, the same group. Bob Lind was in the group. But I'm not sure if Bob Lind is singing lead. But I can find out if you would like.

It's the original that came out in 1966. By Bob Lindm On World Pacific Records. Also listen to the "Cascades". He was in the group in the early 60's
