hmm normally C mixolydian and C Blues scale would work over this, and play F and G mixolydian over the 4 and 5 chords.. C Dorian also works over the 1 and 4 , also over 5 but better over 4 (C Dorian is F mixolydian btw)

@juker92 I was able to easily mix C major and C Minor to this backing track give it a try it was allot of fun!

@juker92 Yeah, if you mix mixolydian with pentatonic you can get some nice chromatic patterns in there.

I was wondering, how did you learn to make these backing tracks with the drums and everything? Do you have any drumming experience or did you just learn this from scratch? because I really want to make some tracks for myself and I don't know where to start.

@stretch90 Thanks! I've been recording and playing music for about 17 years. I play some piano, bass, a little drums and guitar. I do understand how instruments work together and have recorded bands and mixed songs as well. The drums are pieced together from Beta Monkey. Just buy some recording gear and a bass and start trying it.
