A Double Amputee Climbing Everest

I haven't climbed Everest, but I have read about what happens if a climber is sick/going to die on Everest.

You know it very well before you climb, if you are in a state that is close to death, your team can not help you. Trying to evacuate one person down the mountain in such volatile conditions puts everyones lives at an enormous risk.

Bodies are not recovered from Everest either, it is completely pointless to risk lives, and is perhaps the best resting place on Earth!

@Rapunzel676 It was totally impossible to save David Sharps life. You can´t just carry a man down from he death zone! David Sharp climbed alone a put himself to far many risk - you can´t blame others for his death...

i watched a movie in social studies class a few days ago, and it showed a group of climbers climbing to the summit, 8 died, including one man whos wife was pregenant. he called her before his death, and he gave the name to his unborn child, he died that night in his sleep, it was very sad, someday i would like to take on this challenge.

i watched this series and it ended without showing the first group making it back or the 2nd group making it to the top. i think one of them must have died although there was no 'in memory of' at the end of the final episode so that may not be the reason

I'm a moron too! I'm going to be the first 7 months pregnant lady to scale Everest without oxygen. If I encounter a dying person I'll give em a kick down the mountain. This is because it will cost me 50,000 bucks to make this attempt and I'm spending the money on Everest instead of prenatal care or charity.

He climbed the mountain on his own and if the other people who were with him to "risk their lives" and "tote his ass up there" didn't want to be there.....they wouldn't. Maybe "that climber" David Sharp couldn't have been brought down, but it doesn't excuse the callous disregard shown by the 40+ climbers who saw a man slowly dying and did absolutely nothing.

Mark Inglis is very lucky he didn't meet the same fate.

The only reason i can see for these people to do this, is that they nust have such DEEP Low self esteam that this is the only thing they can do to feel good about them selves.. I really feel sorry for them.. They need Therapy BAD.
