english is not necessary the main source of knowledge.There are languages such like japanese,french,germany and etc which stand pridely as the source of knowledge too.the main problem is they are many some english-leaner who are only learning english and do not learn other languages,they're could not thinking out-of-the-box. pity for them!! PPSMI is a WRONG-DOINGS for the nation and its people....and it is a FACT!!!
The future commodity is NOT natural rubber or even palm oil but 'TALENT'. Talent will be the commodity of future to drive domestic and global economic activities. Since, the future economy will be based on Talent as its language, what will be the base requirement? Yes, English language! This is an undeniable fact that all Malaysians must accept. We need to come out of the 'divide and rule' mindset for the benefit of the nation. Unfortunately, we are still in the state of denial of all good facts
I support PAGE's initiative 110%. Talent is a key driving factor of Knowledge and Creative Economy. To develop talent one must master English. If we are not doing it now then when - after we fail to realise VISION 2020?. The Government must realise that electoral votes protection alone NOT going to guarantee Malaysia's GDP growth and increase peoples' par-capita income. We need more than that - and English is one fundamental requirement to achieve these objectives.
If the BN government doesnt allow schools the option of using English to teach science and maths then we use our option to vote them out of office in the next general election. Thats what Im gonna do.
PAGE, thank you for speaking on behalf of the silent majority. We hope the BN govt is not encouraging demonstrations by ignoring peaceful pleas from majority of the rakyat. For the sake of the future of Malaysia and all Malaysian children, irrespective of race, please reconsider the reversal of PPSMI. At the very least, please agree to LET PARENTS CHOOSE.
The BN govt. if they really are democratic should create a win win situation by allowing schools to decide which language to use for teaching of Maths and Science.
Thank God we have PAGE, for highlighting the true facts of the issue. Many, like me, hope U shud spearhead and persistently pursue for the rights of every English speaking family and those realised the importance of Scientific English.

By introducing 13,900 new english teachers to 10,000 schools, each school will get ONE teacher, at most 2. And at a cost to the rakyat of RM5BILLION!
