Sooo, if they had a real Sherman available the whole time then why did they use a highly inaccurate M60 Patton tank for the first tank...? I mean, come on, they didn't even change the modern camouflage paint scheme the thing was sporting.
The American tank could not have had time to turn the turret and fire a round at the house right after it was hit by the Panzerfaust which penetrated it, the whole crew would have burned alive inside (cooked), the Panzerfaust could burn through 200mm of armour, and burn the crew inside.
@ImperialGuard9001 the guys who protrayed the American soldiers weren't proper actors and didn't speak proper english either, so it's not surprising they made mistakes.
@JayJay5244 You wouldnt be saying that if youd seen the first version of this movie. It was excellent. Besides that there are 100s of excellent war movies made in Germany. Dont have such pride in American cinema afterall, theres a reason people complain about films being too 'hollywood'.
Downfall, Cross of Iron, Stalingrad, Das Boot, Europa Europa, and so on are all fantastic war movies.
@warjunky444 I've seen the first movie... was pretty awesome. way better than that 1 and No Doubt Germany has great moivies for example die welle etc... but have u ever seen the pacific or band of brothers?thts what im talking about these r real war movies. and sry if I insulted u or germany :D
Should have put Joseph Vilsmaier in charge of this film , it doesnt portray the events that actually took place , with enough credit. And YES, the mg 42 7.92mm had awseome firepower , and would have taken out troops even behind small trees. also the modern tank was a poor addition. Good authenticity German uniforms but rest:((
What I exactly mean is if you are making a film about aples, don't change to make it suddenly about pears because it not, it not... and give'em some script.
It's not different as another WWII movie where the allies(goods) have the whole script and germans(evil) are only shown to make you sure they keep shooting. WTF they don't think? don't feel? fuck this remake.
original comment(Censored)ok ok, i'm done, stopped it at minut 1:37, no more please.
I've watched the original film Die Brücke here in youtube in vos.
Now I see this video, and I must ask... Is it about the german kids or the americans?¿?¿
THAT SUCKS!!
I mean after watching Die Brücke feeling like one of those 5 kids with the terror of being assaulted by THE ENEMY with tanks and firguns...omg who is THE ENEMY here?? the kids??? cuz that's what i feel when i watch this (#).
why um....didnt the Americans just flank them? Its not THAT hard to march 200 or so yards to either side. I'm pretty sure that's what fire and maneuver tactics are supposed to be all about....sorry its just....there's a reason American casualties in WWII werent as high as Russian or Japanese. their tactical training was better.
@Jerry033 Dosen't looked dubbed to me. You got Sgt. Rock here shouting "move out !" "get down!" And his concern for the German civilians lol. Just extremely cheesy.
There is alot of horrible unrealistic things with this VERSION of the movie!
like 4:08 they would never stand in a nice line up like that in COMBAT!!!1
or the Sherman Tank in 6:16 the sheer shock of that would of done more damage then that especially to the side of a tank that has paper for armor but the most unrealistic thing is the crew still operating the tank after it's been hit by a PanzerFaust 100!!!! and how the hell did the room catch on fire in 6:24 .. .
@RazorCell7 well a the 1928 model thompson was used through out the war, just because it was old doesnt meen they wouldn't use it. My great grandfather was in the ordnance corps and he was felided an american 1917 Enfeild.
The room cought fire at 6:24 due to the back blast of the panzerfaust
@koolskater5 compared too all the other types of Thompsons the 1928 "Tommy Gun" was rare and was mostly used by Canadian, British or Irish Tank crew commanders
but your comparing an American submachine gun to a German Maschinen Gewehr by an Army with a different ideology when it comes to firearms, the Germans Mass Produced the MG-42 cause it was the best and was ment to REPLACE all others and the German Army squad relayed greatly onto the Machine Gun
@koolskater5 and Back Blast from a Panzer Faust wasn't that big compared to other Anti-Tank ordinances infact it was built for urban combat as well and was extremely reliable
honestly I don't think it could set a room on fire unless they were in the desert and the room was filled with gas and grass
is it just me? or did the guys have a MG-34 at first instead of a 42.. . plus why the hell on earth would they pick a Maxium Machine gun from WW1 over all the Machine guns there.. .
@RazorCell7 yeah i noticed this aswell also the americans are using the thompson from the 20's the m1928a1 they had a newer version by this point called the m1a1.. well i guess poeple who know about guns would only notice this.
@ganzer88 Uhmm... Thompson M1928A1s were still being used alot in WW2 by alot of American, British, Canadian, Australian Comanys and Divisions. but mostly American Infantry or GIs would use them - look at D-Day for example or the battles in Africa
Thompson M1A1, M1A2 would mostly be used by Paratroopers and infact were modified for there needs like the M1 Carbine, look at the difference between a Carbine being used by Infantry and one by Paratroopers
Sooo, if they had a real Sherman available the whole time then why did they use a highly inaccurate M60 Patton tank for the first tank...? I mean, come on, they didn't even change the modern camouflage paint scheme the thing was sporting.

It's a shame they decided to rely on digital effects for the gunfire and impacts. I can understand why but it really reduces the realism of the film.

Panzerfaust's power is based on high heat and preasure it makes. When it hits tank, tank crew die immediately.

In dem Film geht es nicht um gute Schauspieler oder Action, sondern um die Aussage
This Film is not famous for its Actors or its Action it's about what it's Standing for.
War is Nonsens
So Shut up who want to Watch a Second pryvate Ryan
And the German are Not the Heros, they're Kids.
