It was all about the music when these two worked together. You can see it in Toumani's smile in this and other videos when he watches another musician improvising on one of his riffs. That is what makes him happy. It is not about the musicians' egos. Malian music has somethng to offer to the world.

You can see and hear what kind of man this twoo are. A good example how the world must be. Till this moment a saw it only in Cuba. What a fine experiance for me to have a new kind of super music of the hart. I bought allready some cd ,s of it. One great pleasure.
