I currently work for Schwans and I will never do it again. Especially since they think there is actually something called "edible fiberglass". All they care about in Florence, KY is getting numbers out the door.
@aussie3440 - Schan's has changed SIGNIFICANTLY since they were in Canada. Marvin Schwan and Ken Noyes had an employee reward diven business model. Happy employees made for happy customers... Lenny Pippen brought a task master's whip with him and changed the whole dynamic. People and employees became numbers and slaves. It hasn't been the same since.
@BikerBry actually Schwans has NEVER been a quality employer. In Marv's time, 1 week paid holiday after working 1 year. Demanded people come in on days off for sales meetings up to 3 days without pay. No paid holidays, sick days. Demanded people inventory trucks without pay. Commission rate of 8.9% Marv was a real asshole. Al took over after and raised commission to 11%. Of course, he increased prices heavily when he did this. Schwans Management have always been assholes.
My experience with Schwans: Tom Balash is a pathalogical liar, John Harp is a fat pig, Barry Adams is a jerk and Monica Byrom is a lying c**t! Tom Balash LIED to me, he LIED to HR and he LIED to Labor Dept.
schwan makes you make up holiday pay. they give you the day off, but make you come in the following weekend to make it up. Schwans lies about pay. they try to cheat you and make you work as a trainee as long as possible
