@joseph95239 you should watch the blakroc webisodes. you'd really appreciate what all them did to this project. they made like 11 songs in 11 days. they all had 1 day to write lyrics for each song.
this is a bit too slow, an awesome tune but jst needs that bit more energy... haha your right, he misses his intro and they have to do another round of the mos defs bit. shows how spot on they are no one even batted an eyelid, they jst go on with it!
@ChrisDorgan The album version actually picks up the tempo a good deal. They played this more chill version just to offer a different take on the song.
Im not a hater Im an artist just as these guys you watch but, Jim Jones Messes up and mos def picks um up, and mos def looks at jim & laughs. Its at 1:06
@Jimmyblonco1 if you actually listened to the recorded song, you'd know that that is actually how the song goes and he didnt mess up and mos def just did what he was supposed to.
Jones spits. "Where I'm from, success is one in a million. We thought success was money in front of buildings." That addresses the whole disparity between the hood reality and the hood mentality. "Most people say, I'm politically incorrect. But most people scared, they spit it so indirect. I've been accused of same thing as you, but, I refuse to follow the rules of... who?" The addresses the distance between politics and real life. People need to stop sleepin' on Jones.
he says on this lovely new record lol like he actually listens to it at home lol whatever should of just had mos def on the joint i cant stand jim jones
@Exhume2Consume - "Just cuz a nigga got the skills to sell dope, don't mean he got the same skills to rap about it"...word to Phonte lol....but naw all jokes aside, Jim Jones is a ok at best lyricist and this was actually the best thing i've EVER heard dude spit..The mighty Mos stole the show on the chorus! Still a good collective of artists in this group
I hope you're not talking about the whole album? The Q-Tip track isn't the best, but Q-Tip smashes Jim Jones to bits. And Raekwon on Stay Off The Fucking Flowers! Sick track!
jones has some of the best lines in the whole thing, although u know hes had them written down for prolly a year, Phaoroe Monch i think did the best job jus straight spitting
I like how you can understand what Jim Jones is saying.
