this helped alot. thankyou. my mum is getting maried this next month and has decided that she wanted me to try and make the cake, but i wasnt sure on how to make carnations because they are her favorite.
I AM SO FASCINATED BY YOUR VIDEOS!! I HAVE WATCHED EACH OF THEM OVER AND OVER. I WIS THERE WERE MORE. NOT ONLY ARE YOU A GREAT DECORATOR, BUT A FANTASTIC TEACHER, WHICH IS A RARE COMBINATION. I WOULD LOVE TO PURCHASE YOUR DVDS OR VIDEOS, BUT I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY THAT PLAY ON USA MACHINES. DO YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR ME? THANK YOU!
I wouldn't recommend using fondant for flowers because it doesn't dry like gum paste or sugar paste as she calls it. If using fondant you can add tylose powder to your fondant to give it a similar affect as gum paste(sugarpaste)..hope this helps!
great. I got carnation cutters for Christmas but i did not know how to use them. I took me yonks to find a video that used cutters.
Thanks, Great video

I love this tutorial, your carnations look so much simpler to make than the ones in the Wiltons class. Thanks for posting

Ok I'm addicted to these vids. I've watched like 10 or more today. I'll learn decorations just by going through all of these. :D

Instead of sugarpaste, is it possible to make these with fondant icing?
Ive already tried fondant icing carnations but with a cook book (didnt quite work as icing would break and tear).
