I came here recently and saw many wonderful things inside and the rooms had so much character and charm to them. I went in the tapestry room and noticed my chest went a bit tighter than normal. My partner thinks it was all in my head. Maybe it was, who knows :p

I never find ghostly experiences scary. Startling perhaps. But I find telling about those experiences really unsettles me. lol I know how silly that sounds. :P

Well, when i get a visit at night. i.e: someone sitting on you and u can't move on the bed, just fight it!!!

I love to challenge the ghost/spirit, need 2 be scared really, tats wat they want u 2 feel. It's not like in the movies where they can harm u & kill u, u can actually scared them back.

I swear at them and try to scare them off, like u would to a normal person. I always push back til I bounce up on my bed and prove i'm stronger than them, but a small prayer while doin so helps~ Its simple!

I think you are right, stona80 - re. scaring ghosts. I remember waking up one night about 15 years ago and saw a woman standing at my beside. I shouted at her at the top of my voice. I scared the hell out of her, and have never seen her since.

If you cannot move it may also be sleep paralysis. This is a natural phenomenon. At night your muscles are relaxed so you do not live out your dreams and hurt yourself. Sometimes you wake before the paralysis lifts, giving you the feeling of not being able to move, a presence sitting on your chest, demons, ghosts and intense fear. I worked in the castle and I can confirm that it is haunted, I actually saw a chair move on it's own, it was a large old fashioned chair and there was only my wife and I there. I can tell you we ran, my wife said that she had felt breath on her neck . On one occasion she heard footsteps behind her thinking it was me because something ran a finger down the middle of her spine....which is what I always do!

Basically when I saw the chair move was enough for me. The wife and I decided to leave when she was to frightened to go anywhere in the castle on her own..(so was I...lol). Other members of staff witnessed and experienced strange things. My wife was hooverind and the plug kept being pulled out the wall?

I stayed in the Tapestry room in 2003 and it was very scary. My video camera would not turn on inside the castle and all photos taken inside had stange orbs and white spots on them. There was also a strange showing of lights in the sky when we arrived-it looked like a meteor shower-but lasted about 10 mins

Its near Ravenglass in the Lake District in England. I think we paid about $600 US Dollars but it has gone up since then. They have a great website-its worth a visit if you are ever in the area!

My old house was haunted. Some people think it would be so nightmarishly scary. Turns out it was a little creepy and scary but not as scary as i thought it could be. My brother was trying to escape from the house from his window (where he got grounded for) and when he got on the balcony of the window he saw a face staring at him. Ofcourse, no body was even home at that time except for me in my room. Creepy shit

It doesnt bother me during the night, I sleep easily, and ghost can't harm people, unless its a demon or something.

Visiting Muncaster castle during the daytime is an enjoyable experience, (though the journey to it is tedious!) and spending the night there is quite a temptation after watching this film and reading about the place.

I could visit it if I had someone with me. Don't think I could spend the night there if I was by myself. Might be a bit too freaked out. Would probably need someone else and my dogs with me!
