I've just watched this video twice in a row and damn it's absolutely brilliant! I have my Amiga up and running but not my C64 so i need to get the thing hooked up again ;)
I missed out on seeing you guys at Breakpoint in 2007 :( I was at the event for a couple of days but didn't get to experience the whole thing but i love this video and i love my good old C64 :)
Have seen this video some times now and i think it is time to write a comment. This is really awesome! i haven't had the opportunity to live the C64 experience, since im a bit too young (born -86), but i really like the music from these consoles. We have two Amigas, one 500 and one 1200 and they are really fun.. still. =)
If you like C64 remixes, i must strongly recomend that you listen to Machinae Supremacy - Great Gianna Sisters. (copy and paste to searchbar) I think you might like it. =)
I make music composed with or using Commodore computers myself. Click my name to hear some.

@Ken2096 Yes, the music from Platypus level 1 is the same theme as this one, namely the theme from Comic Bakery composed by Martin Galway. The theme is inspired by the Level 42 song "Hot Water", which you can find here on youtube too.
Hey there.... good old Alcatraz here..... was in a c64 group in my teens.... when I saw this .... I was left short of words.... :) Cheers :) thumbs up !! The sprites used in the vid don't come from Exploding Fist as some may have thought ... they're from IK+. The original song if I'm not mistaken orignated from Martin Galway ... way back in 1985 or 86 when the game came out (Imagine - Konami)...Once you reach 65536 views .. the vid would have been viewed for as many bytes as the 64 has..later
Yes ... my mistake because he has a bandage across his head... : ) The IK sprites didn't have that ... for a while I had swapped them.... Anyways YOU got me in the mood to go play it lol .... l8r ....

I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video since it came out. I was learning to play C64 tunes on guitar back in the early 90s but never figured anyone else would care enough to hear them so quit learning them. It's great that you've taken a 64 song to a level that it deserves. Thanks for the wonderful vid - it looks like a lot of fun.

Martin Galway composed the videogame music for a title called 'Comic Bakery'. These guys remixed it with today's modern toys, added a Backstreet Boyx like video, there you go :-)
If I remember correctly, Martin Galway (Comic Bakery composer) and Johnathan Dunn (Jurassic Park NES composer) were coworkers at Ocean after Ocean acquired Imagine, the studio that ported Comic Bakery over to the C64. Dunn liked the Comic Bakery theme and arranged a version of it for Jurassic Park NES.
Vitctor2cutube. The music was not made on a Commodore64. This parody is about a group of geeks who love the wonderful oldschool piece of technology known as the Commodore64, however. I have to say. This is a great tribute and a good parody. *smiles* *thumbs up*
The tune comes from the loading screen of a Commodore 64 game, but it's not played on the Commodore 64. For the original C64 version search Youtube for "Comic Bakery Commodore 64 Loader Tune" posted by gdreyband.

Yeah the C64 had universal acclaim and is part of my greatest memories ever!. The only machine that comes close is Commodore's other machine, the Amiga. Both these computers are LEGENDARY !!.
They are way better than any boyband.Even though they took an old videogame melody and covered it,it still sounds far better than all the unoriginal crap we here on MTV today.
