  • Back8bit Boys :DDDDDDDDD

  • Best video ever. (no, seriously)

  • I hate Boy Band music. But this is an exception. It's awesome because Comic Bakery music kicks ass, and so does the C64. Keep up the good work!

  • epic shirts :D

  • wow, please act ur ages

  • Go and **** your commodore... (of course, play)

  • I've just watched this video twice in a row and damn it's absolutely brilliant! I have my Amiga up and running but not my C64 so i need to get the thing hooked up again ;)

  • I missed out on seeing you guys at Breakpoint in 2007 :( I was at the event for a couple of days but didn't get to experience the whole thing but i love this video and i love my good old C64 :)

  • it's like a parody taken seriously.

  • crap

  • C= Amiga rulez! :)

  • awesome. those guys are brill! :)

  • 2:50 AUTOCHOOOON!!!!11

  • Jesus H. Cat, what in heaven's name did you do to that poor C64 in bed?

  • Have seen this video some times now and i think it is time to write a comment. This is really awesome! i haven't had the opportunity to live the C64 experience, since im a bit too young (born -86), but i really like the music from these consoles. We have two Amigas, one 500 and one 1200 and they are really fun.. still. =)

If you like C64 remixes, i must strongly recomend that you listen to Machinae Supremacy - Great Gianna Sisters. (copy and paste to searchbar) I think you might like it. =)

  • @TorkelFlum Thanks. We played together with MS back in 2003. See our website, with pictures and all.

  • they stole this from Kanye West

  • B r i l l i a n t !!!!!!!!!

  • really??

  • That Logo in the corner, is that a C64 Logo or a Comic Bakery Logo?

  • @TheTrueRevanchist It's a chicken head

  • HA! Never played Comic Bakery. I do remember the tune from a cracktro on the Ami.

  • Did Martin Galway make the Level 1 music for the game called Platypus?

  • @Ken2096 Yes, the music from Platypus level 1 is the same theme as this one, namely the theme from Comic Bakery composed by Martin Galway. The theme is inspired by the Level 42 song "Hot Water", which you can find here on youtube too.

  • @pressplayontape /@Ken2096

I think Instant Remedy did the Platypus version, if I recall correctly. A good bit of his only album is here on YT.

  • hahaha the epicest epic game song evah! ;D

  • 0:49 lol srol hehehehehehehehehehehehehe

  • nice work at 1:48

thank you for steal the main loop "run dmc - walk this way" from 1986

    eheh

  • Oh, YES... 5/5 :)

  • OMG that's pretty cool how it has the same tune! =3

  • Great job. A little thought to Filip, the leader of the #1 Boys band in France. R.I.P. Filip. :)

  • Hey there.... good old Alcatraz here..... was in a c64 group in my teens.... when I saw this .... I was left short of words.... :) Cheers :) thumbs up !! The sprites used in the vid don't come from Exploding Fist as some may have thought ... they're from IK+. The original song if I'm not mistaken orignated from Martin Galway ... way back in 1985 or 86 when the game came out (Imagine - Konami)...Once you reach 65536 views .. the vid would have been viewed for as many bytes as the 64 has..later

  • The sprites are from WOTEF, trust me :) The tune is from Comic Bakery, about that you're perfectly right.

  • Yes ... my mistake because he has a bandage across his head... : ) The IK sprites didn't have that ... for a while I had swapped them.... Anyways YOU got me in the mood to go play it lol .... l8r ....

  • Alcatraz - did you ever do demos on the Amiga? I remember a demo called Alcatraz demo and it was pretty cool.

  • Yes indeed sir....

Was an all rounder on C64 / Logos some gfx / Code / intros / music and Cracks n PAL fixes on a couple of warez then moved to do Code / Intros / music on the Amiga :) Glad to see that I had some fans after all :) Phenomena was my personal favourite ...Would like to say high to some old blokes like A-Man of Action (Arcade) ... Ikari + Talent ..folks in Legend and Genesis Project good old Fairlight (Bacchus) , Oxygene and Skid Row on the Amiga...best of luck 2 u all ... l8r!

  • I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video since it came out. I was learning to play C64 tunes on guitar back in the early 90s but never figured anyone else would care enough to hear them so quit learning them. It's great that you've taken a 64 song to a level that it deserves. Thanks for the wonderful vid - it looks like a lot of fun.

  • Thanks. We're glad you like it.

  • You guys have way too much personality to pull off a parody of a boy band. :D

*Screams and throws A-cup sized bra at you*

  • Brilliantly done!

  • 0:21 LOOOOL!

  • lol

  • Correction: Way of the EXPLODING Fist. Apologies.

  • Hahahaha, awesome song.

    C64 rocks and always will.

Too bad my dad managed to throw out the C64 by mistake thinking it was a computer-keyboard. *sob*

  • Denmark 4tw!!!!

  • I really fancy the small beigey-grey one. When is he going solo?

  • now they should the NES level 1 of jurassic park!

  • It's actually the same song

  • gayt's noch?

  • I recognize the tune from the cracktro on my copy of Shadow of the Beast for Amiga. :D :D

  • A cracktro made by whom?

  • Cracktro was by Angels, I think.

  • The original is made by Martin Galway for the game Comic Bakery on the C64.

  • crazy shit. added to my myspace !

  • I remember this clip being played again and again on Atari XL Copy Party (it was 2001 or maybe even 2000?). Great work.

  • To much Backstreet Boys "larger than life" and to little Martin Galway "Comic Bakery" for my taste. But good effort.

  • Fedt fedt :P C=

  • :D great :D

  • You are too strong

  • Lol i love it ! Great old times...but sorry i prefer Amiga !

    p.s. Synaesthesiae you suck ...

  • hahah...jesteście za mocni :D

  • Then the song was used in Platypus. I really like the comic bakery theme.

  • The video is a bit retrosexual, isn't it? :-)

  • lol funny

  • This is one of the only boy band songs i like!

  • Great remix...or should i say "total conversion" ? ;) Anyway....amazing job on the remix AND that video ( always brings a smile on my face :D ).

Keep up that great work, guys !!

    Cheers

  • Martin Galway composed the videogame music for a title called 'Comic Bakery'. These guys remixed it with today's modern toys, added a Backstreet Boyx like video, there you go :-)

  • No, Jurrasic Park is from 1993. Comic Bakery is from 1984. So it must be the other way around :)

  • If I remember correctly, Martin Galway (Comic Bakery composer) and Johnathan Dunn (Jurassic Park NES composer) were coworkers at Ocean after Ocean acquired Imagine, the studio that ported Comic Bakery over to the C64. Dunn liked the Comic Bakery theme and arranged a version of it for Jurassic Park NES.

I thought the same thing when I first heard it.

  • its funny i found this song looksing for a local bakery in a nearby town that makes sourdough bread. to see if they have some vids here.

i found this catchy song and looked at it as i like and still have a c64.

  • Vic 20 Vic 20, a fat mate had one, flashy parents. doesn't compute

  • the music was done on a C64 ??

  • Vitctor2cutube. The music was not made on a Commodore64. This parody is about a group of geeks who love the wonderful oldschool piece of technology known as the Commodore64, however. I have to say. This is a great tribute and a good parody. *smiles* *thumbs up*

  • The tune comes from the loading screen of a Commodore 64 game, but it's not played on the Commodore 64. For the original C64 version search Youtube for "Comic Bakery Commodore 64 Loader Tune" posted by gdreyband.

  • Yeah, even the music video was edited on a C64....

  • hahaha so fucking funny!

    great!

  • what the heck?!?!?!

  • But still, with a PC you can emulate ALL of the old computer and do a lot more ;-)

  • No you can't...well not totally, for example, the sound output from vice64 still does not sound like the SID chip, especially with the SID chip's analog filters....

  • great.complete with cheesy Swedish accents and all.

  • Danish. Yeah. Because, they're, you know, Danish and stuff. Which might explain the accent.

  • Yeah the C64 had universal acclaim and is part of my greatest memories ever!. The only machine that comes close is Commodore's other machine, the Amiga. Both these computers are LEGENDARY !!.

  • this video is so cool! especilly the part with the kung fu bitmaps

  • That is one of my fav. part, and apparently a bit of work to do. The Scroll text was custom written.

  • Do you have a video where you play it live?

  • great cover, and great vid to match! :)

  • They are way better than any boyband.Even though they took an old videogame melody and covered it,it still sounds far better than all the unoriginal crap we here on MTV today.

  • That's more or less the point of PPOT; covers of old videogame tunes. ftw :D

  • PPoT are the best!

  • LOLZ! classic!

  • I love this clip
