I don't know if it just the way my laptop is set up or what but I had a difficult time reading that green colored text. Looks like a good, well thought out kit.
@Bornwithnofear its a maxpedition pygmy falcon, but i only use it for super low weight loadouts, 24 hour is the maximum for this pack. unless you are in an urban scenario, such as bugout or just overnight travel and you want to be prepared, it has no waist belt for support, its all on the shoulders, if you like the style, i recommend the full size falcon, but if you want real comfort and the ability to travel like a king, go with an upgraded alice setup, RStactical has great stuff, search alice
i think ill start doing this on my up coming videos, ill call it, most important kit tip. for this one, it is = Mylar or "space blankets" only work and reflect your heat if you are not touching them. there has to be dead air space for the atmosphere around you to be warmed by the reflection of your body heat, it is not going to magically return your body heat to you. they are best used in natural shelter by pinning or securing them to the roof of your shelter. as heat rises...naturally.
@snaponjohn100 just a bit, my kits get better everyday, i suggest you just keep taking all your gear out. lay it infront of you, and just assemble different types of kit, see what you can use as a double or triple use item, try and integrate the same base kit into all of your kits. and you will get familiar with the items.
@TaeIeon i use that mug by taking my shovel (or stick) and collecting a base of coals. then i put the mug onto the coals. you CAN use it directly over the fire, but there is no real way to hang it unless you drill holes in the sides for a wire(i might do that in the future) but i mainly use it for eating and food prep, i boil almost all of my water in my stainless bottle directly on coals in the fire between 2-3 logs so it dosent spill. it is the VARGO titanium mug, idk where i bought it. =)
Wow..some sweet equipment,,,,,I think all my gear has about the same value of the RTAK II...great layout and a H.E.S.T. too? Wow..All the best for the DPC comp..My vid will probably be up about Friday...
@bassfuryvi thanks man, yeah i dig the rtak but i find it wanting, the handle is 2 big, the knife is flat ground( i prefer convex), and the blade is 2 thin, but i got it on sale for 62 bucks. couldnt beat it, thats the same price for a ka-bar almost, i fully convexed my Hest, it is awesome, but im definitely lookin into purchasing a custom rough chopper, your beast is awesome, i dont like saw notches on the back of my knives for batoning though. i only carry an axe on long winter trips.
@Wyndstarthedruid 62 bucks???? OMG..that's about £40 sterling..those bad boys are £135 in the UK..you're right about battoning with sawbacks..The Beast does have a straight section on it but it so darn heavy it's an axe anyway ha ha..when you get up and running with your vids,,it'll be great seeing your H.E.S.T in action..have a great week!
does this Barton go to army cadets?

Good video, I always enjoy having a look at other peoples gear and often get some good ideas. I like how much of your kit serves multiple duties :-)
