why would a stadium be loud when their team is on offense? that's about as stupid a comment as I've ever heard or seen. An offense has to communicate their play in from the sideline to the quarterback, then from their quarterback to his offense, how do you expect that to happen if the home crowd of 60-80 thousand is screaming their heads off? it doesn't. there's a difference between an intelligent crowd and a crazy crowd, one helps their team and one potentially hurts their team.
