Brilliant video, featuring two of the best songs ever!
Minstrel Boy always brings a lump to my throat, especially when played in the recap scene of the DS9 Finale "What you leave behind"
Hearts of Oak, one of the best patriotic pieces ever, and official march of the Royal Navy. Always feel a sense of pride whenever i hear or sing it.
It's funny that Picard sings it bacuase he is afterall frech, whether this was an intentional faux-pas by the writers, or an accidental gaff is unclear.
the first song is the minstrel boy a song about a boy of 8-16 who went into battle with his harp which is representive of freedom and was happy to die dor it.
the second is hearts of oak a naval song and a good one at that. it was a real powerful one.
Oh god...not "The Wounded"...that episode was so sad. The singing at the end of the episode...the tears were literal rolling down my face. How can Star Trek do such things?
Were there any episodes of TNG that had Lt. Tasha Yar playing any musical instruments?

@LutzDerLurch Actually, it's shown several times in the series that individual nations still exist in some way.

@TravisTCleveland Luckily. But I think Rivalries are reduced and no longer sincere cause for trouble :)

That, or it was an intentional correlation between Starfleet and the navies of old.
