A whammy is kinda like another word for curse, a bit more old fashioned though I think, Usually you wouldn't say a whammy "fell" on you though, it would be "I PUT a whammy on you" Or if someone would want the help of someone who practices black magic to get back at someone they're angry with they'd ask the person who practices black magic to put a "whammy" on the person they're angry with, all in all it's just another word for curse...

lol, everyone's jumping on the "my whammy fell on you" line--that's what she actually says, it means her curse fell on you, "and it was strong." lol, I friggin love bette midler, this is one of her best performances. @MerkabahVideos You are right. A Whammy is a horrible evil spell, hex, jinx, curse as such it is also what someone would say. Or if someone had ill fate it would say they had serious or devastating setback, blow, punch.

Such as saying "He had a double whammy" meaning twice the ill fate as before, a very horrible powerful ill fated word no doubt, it is not to be used lightly.

But I never realised the lyrics toward the begganing where I though she said I put a spell on you she was really saying "My Whammy Fell On You" which sount really strang even more so with the "And it was strong" afterwordss. Oh and if you can tell from just reading this I am talking really really really really really really fast!!!!!!!
