Whatever the politics are, i don't give a fuck, once you are placed in combat, in harm's way, it comes down to kill them or they kill you. This is particularly true for the infantryman.

@biggee316 No, Fuck Hitler, Germany was in an unfortunate situation. My Great Uncle served in the Wehrmacht, and he commanded a Tank Artillery Battery in the Eastern Front. He was a soldier fighting for his country, if you understood what was particularly true for the infantryman, then you'd understand his situation. No, he wasn't SS, he didn't kill any jewish people, he was a soldier, and what he had in common with the typical allied soldier was that he fought his country and defended it.

We do onto them, as they do onto us. I don't support war itself-the hatred and the death of it all rlly-but I do support every soldier who risks his/her life to allow me the freedom that I'm given. I have 2 cousins in the army and 1 in the marines. War is not a pleasant thing, but then again, no one ever said it had to be.

People wanted to join the army to protect our country, they knew what they we're going to face, blood and fear. But if you we're in the war, would you stand around and wait for everyone else to do your dirty work? Or would you get into it, and fight for our right's and country. To be honest, i wouldnt waste a moment, even if i did die, at least i tryed my hardest to protect my family and friends..
