Exactly joelspan! I cant take people bagging either shows, but I need to say that the British show was NOT cancelled - its supposed to be a documentry and documentries dont last 50 episodes. But Im glad the American office does - LOVE IT! How can anyone not like MORE of the office? Its insane!
The British one was amazing. If you follow Ricky Gervais at all, you will notice he refers to the american one as equally brilliant, at times in fact, he will say the american one does some things better. Doesn't mean either is better or worse, they are both amazing tv shows.

You can't be serious. I'm American yet I can admit that the British version is much better. The British one went off the air because it was a decision by the producers who didn't want to compromise the quality of the show by prolonging it .... something the American version is sure of doing.
Nope we're serious. We love the US Office. I've seen both. I just love the US versions characters 10x's more.
Hopefully people can stop this pointless debate on which one is better. I love 'em both. Heck, I'd probably even love the FRENCH version of The Office for being it's own. I'm just gonna enjoy them instead of bickering which one's better with other fans. If you don't watch it, then we don't care. It's your loss, you're the one who's missing out.

The Office is THE best show I've ever seen. I love the awkwardness, and the fact that life sometimes mimics The Office. ;-)

Only the Pilot had the same script the rest have been original. Gervais and Merchant wrote an episode this season for this show.
